Pro tip: after cleaning the shmoo off the thermopile, ensure you turn the knob back to "ON". Troubleshooting steps: 1. Turn off the pilot. 2. Check and clean the thermopile and thermocouple. They heat up and provide electricity to open the gas valve. They don't work if the shmegma buildup is too thick. The thermocouple provides electricity to keep the pilot light valve open. The thermopile provides electricity to keep the main valve open. This is for safety; if the flame gets blown out, the gas valves will shut off. 3. Make sure that the wall switch - fireplace on/off is working with a continuity check. 3. Turn the pilot back on. If that didn't work, call a gas fitter.

They are both electrical switches. The solenoid relay switch is cheap tough, and not as slow as one would think, BUT it needs 700mA to actuate. This is an experiment to convert Feldspar into Lodestone with fire. Lodestone is the ancient name for magnetite that was exposed to huge magnetic fields from lightning strikes. It is a natural magnet. Edit: Positive ID of rocks is a fine art, and my instruments blunt. It would seem that this granite would be more mafic than felsic, but the lack of banding is anomolous. Here's the mind blowing part: the pumping element that does all that work FITS IN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND! It has a very interesting feature that is lacking in the hydraulic gear pump: it can vary the flow of oil depending on the demand of the system. It does that by changing the angle of a swash plate. This is a tip for loosening a frozen bolt that has no clearance to whack with a hammer or put a 6 foot snipe on. You may need to pull out this hack once or twice a lifetime, but it doesn't cost anything to file away for later. Actually, there's a number of tips in this vid: 1. Nasty job? Try to get somebody else to do it. 2. Mod an air hammer bit so it engages on the side of a wrench. 3. Check if bolts are re-useable by running a nut up the whole length of the threads. What does 'digital' motor mean? I still don't know. Judging from the control waveform, Dyson doesn't either. We'll look at the Dyson motor from the inside out. What's inside a Milwaukee 9.0 Battery? How does it compare to the DeWalt 60V Li-ion Tools? It's got beefier LG cells and a HEFTY price tag. I accidentally damage it, but manage to recover the blinking red LED-o-DEATH. I test it at 0F, -20C and it doesn't work well, despite marketing claims to the contrary. I BOLTR the 18V Makita 5Ah but first I'll show you why bigger is better. Because: CHEMISTRY! The small batteries have 5 cells connected in series. As such, the cells have higher current discharge ratings and generally lower Ah ratings. As a double whammy, higher discharge rates mean shorter lifetime.
