Is WOOD campfire hot enough to MELT METAL (2016x87)

Yes, curiosity assuaged! Aluminum melts very nicely if you stack the wood up around the pot. No blower required! I was inspired to try this after watching primitive technology make a blast furnace from clay and charcoal. Iron melts at a much higher temp than aluminum, so I was curious to see if I could just build a hot campfire to do aluminum casting.
