Today on The Skid Factory we showcase a new project car that's owned by Nathan who's been a mate of Al's for a long time. Originally this car was purchased new from Toyota by Nathan's Grandparent's in 1978 and used it to travel Australia multiple times. Nathan then acquired it in 1998 and has never stopped loving it. It's an unfinished project thats had most of the hard work already done by Nathan and his mate Digby from Digby's Custom Cruiser's. Nathan's Dream of finally getting his 40 series back on the road is in reach now it's in the hands of The Skid Factory.

Today on The Skid Factory Work Begins on the V12 Twin Turbo BJ40 LandCruiser.

Today on The Skid Factory work continues on the Twin Turbo V12 BJ40 LandCruiser. Our good mate Anthony from Drover Camping & 4WD Auto Electrics arrives to fix up the hideous body wiring job that was previously done, The valve covers and inlet manifolds are painted up and refitted along with many other miscellaneous jobs. Today on The Skid Factory Anthony is getting close to finishing off the body wiring, The inlet manifolds are refitted along with throttle cables and the vacuum balance chamber.

Today on The Skid Factory Al sorts out the fuel system and transmission cooler along with modifying the transmission cover and the radiator support bracket to make way for the intercoolers.

Today on The Skid Factory Al Finishes off welding up the intercooler piping and the V12 Twin Turbo BJ40 Series is fired into life! It's not over yet! there are​ still a few jobs to be completed before we can send it off to get tuned and ready for the road so stay tuned for a couple more episodes!

Today on The Skid Factory the steering components are finalised with new shaft supports on the double Carden uni joint, The front shock towers are then fitted which are now in the way of a couple of intercooler pipes and Al fabricates a new stainless steel exhaust system to get the 1GZFE V12 sounding better than before.

Today on The Skid Factory the Twin Turbo V12 BJ40 Landcruiser gets a quick spanner check and top up of some driveline oils, the seats, bonnet and bullbar are refitted and Al voids Nathans driveway warranty after attempting a shed skid.

Today on The Skid Factory we head to the dyno for a couple of power runs and then it's​ off to CLAWW for a day of wheeling with a bunch of other 40 series LandCruisers.
