Caroline has to defend a man accused of having raped and killed a teenage girl. The suspect claims he is innocent and Caroline appears to want to believe him. Michèle is handling a case of inheritance. Two young brothers have just lost their father. The notary has informed them that, in secret, the latter regularly paid large amounts to his first wife, a woman the family had never heard of. If they accept the inheritance, they will have to continue the payments.
