Pat and Frankie upgrade some internal components to make our blue oval beast more durable under boost. When it’s back together we will see what our changes make on the engine dyno!

The guys bring the well-known but anemic 305 Small Block Chevy into the shop by viewer request. They teardown a used and abused 305 and get it ready for some mild upgrades for the everyday hotrodder.

The transformation continues as we assemble our 305 Small Block Chevy with new upgrades. Once it is put together, we’ll put it on the dyno and see if the 305 can make respectable power with some modern touches.

We bring our 305 Small Block Chevy back for a second round of racier upgrades, as we try and squeeze even more power out of this little small block.

We dust off our Test Sled from the pits of darkness and give it a new life. It gets a new heartbeat with a 410ci stack-injected LS engine, backed by a Tremec TKX transmission, to bring the Test Sled back to track ready status

Engine Power embarks on a new project for SCCA’s inaugural SPEC Mustang class. We’ll take a 2008 Mustang GT and begin getting it ready for this entry level, but competitive class.

Our Test Sled has been rejuvenated with a new engine & transmission. Now we’ll turn some wrenches to make brake and safety upgrades so we can test it on the chassis dyno and at the race track.

Our SPEC Mustang Project is back for final touches, as we get it ready to hit the track. After we finish our upgrades, we do just that and head to a sanctioned SCCA Event and put it to the test.

The TIMELESS Debate is on. Ford vs. Chevy. We start with a stock 305 Chevy and a 302 Ford. After an initial baseline, we see how they stack up against each other with the same mild upgrades. We find out, dollar for horsepower, who comes out on top.

Our 460 Big Block Ford is back for its final iteration, where we upgrade it with a weight saving, better flowing induction. We’re looking to up the naturally aspirated horsepower before this beast finds its new home. As always, we’ll test our improvement on the Engine Dyno.

We dyno test a custom-built 5.3 LS crate engine, talk in-depth about the importance of quality fasteners, and take a closer look at a wild diesel-powered Cadillac drag car, featuring an interview with its pilot, Jarred Ring.

We team up with UNOH to build a brand-new engine for their racing program. A new car class with new engine rules makes for an educational build experience that pays off on the racetrack.

We start with a Gen IV Iron Block 5.3L from the junkyard, get it running, and then add a selection of budget-friendly upgrades to turn it into a solid street swap engine. Afterward, we test our upgrades on the dyno and get a special visit from a high horsepower, big boost drag car.

We kick off a ground up build based around Summit’s brand new, specially designed Small Block Chevy engine block. Featuring a large bore and stroke equaling 427ci, this robust platform will become the foundation for a high horsepower, pump gas, street dominator.

We continue with our aftermarket pump gas 427ci Small Block Chevy engine, with plans on getting it into the Dyno Cell. It’s getting finished off with a high flowing, off the shelf induction and rock solid valvetrain before we run some 93-octane fuel thru it and see what it puts out on the Dyno.

The star of our show, the engine dyno, gets a huge upgrade from SuperFlow. Known as the go-to for high performance dynos, they come into the shop and install new hardware and software upgrades to give us the ultimate way to monitor and analyze our engine data.

The Engine Power crew hits the road and travels to Boston to visit famous Factory Five Racing and some of their new facilities. They’re expanding their “build it yourself” classic car line with an all-new reengineered version of their well-known classic.
