The rural police of Lusagne, faithful to the traditions of hospitality of the mountains, are preparing to welcome the team of the Totem association. This association, which specialises in the refurbishment of old buildings in the rural world, calls on prisoners at the end of their sentences, and has the mission of preparing them for their reintegration. After the snow melts, the body of a woman is discovered. The victim is believed to have died more than 25 years ago. Alex and Leblanc begin the investigation and find a handwritten letter written by a friend of the young woman, Mathilde. After research, Alex discovers that this person is part of the police. Notified, she immediately took over the investigation and arrived in Lusagne. The two cops will try to tame each other and understand this drama of almost 30 years ago, when a young idealistic activist arrived in Lusagne, alongside other "eco-warriors"...
