That morning, on the outskirts of Lusagne, Alex Hugo found a young man prostrate in a rusty car who claimed to be named Léo Melino. Angelo, who had taken part in the search for Leo's disappearance seven years earlier, at the age of 11, was very emotional. While Angelo is quick to rejoice, Alex finds the story a little too good. He is touched by the immediate reconnection between the mother and her eldest, by the family's welcome to the son he has found, but remains perplexed by the young man's account of his abduction and his years of absence. Our two police officers and the teams in Marseille, are starting checks and investigations; They are not at the end of their surprises.

La Mirambelle is an integral reserve, a vast natural park that serves as a laboratory space for specialists who analyse how nature lives and evolves without humans. This reserve, forbidden to man, is, basically, protected naturally, because it is difficult to access; even Alex and Angelo never came there. However, it is in the heart of this protected paradise that we find one morning the body of the young guardian of the reserve, his skull fractured; He lived alone and isolated in a small refuge on the edge of a high-altitude lake in the protected area. Anna, the creator of the reserve, and 4 scientists on a mission were the only people supposed to be in this huge area cut off from the outside world.....until today. And so begins a very strange investigation.

In the early hours of the morning, in the Lusagne Valley, two men on a motorcycle rob a butcher's truck and rob him of his cargo of meat. Why take so many risks for such paltry booty? think the men of the Rural Woman as they set out on the trail of the thieves. Alex quickly finds the culprits: two young men, recently arrived in the region, and ready to do anything to help the most needy, even if it means breaking the law and putting their lives in danger; but the actions of these new Robin Hoods will soon create very strong tensions. While Alex seeks to avoid an escalation of violence, they target the local businessman, whom they want to make pay for his fraudulent and polluting practices.
