thermite with the Iron Oxide replaced with Cuperic Oxide, it now burns more like gun powder.

a little cuiri heat eingin. the nickel which is suspended from a wire is atracted to the magnet but when iit heats up in the candle it becomes non magnetic. it then falls away and cools becoming magnetic again.

a mixture of chemicials bursting into flames when a drop of water is added. sorry the video is sideways my camera man thought it would look beter that way.

I put an old thermostat swich in a cup of liquid propane to freese the mercury. in this vidio I show the mercury thawing out and turning back to a liquid.

my green laser being shined towards me from 2 miles away it hurt to look at it and can easly be seen from 20 miles but I dont have that filmed and its even harder to hold the laser on target from that distance.

a small magnet suspended between 2 buismith plates. it would spin like that for over hafe an hour. Igot it to spin by passing another magnet neer by. I want to try taking all the air out of the jar maby then it would spin for ever.

my mom was cooking so it was a little smoky and my laser looked like a light saber.

testing out a little homemade cannon that I built. it uses pink powder becous it is easyer to make than black powder. it shoots a 12 ounce lead ball.

calcium sulfate and corse aluminium powder. harder to light and slower bunining than the fine variety but much easyer to watch. at the end i sed that some aluminium was still burning but I think that it was some left over magnesium.

every year on labor day the Grantsville/Stansberry cross country team runs to the top of Deseret peak, we call it the Deseret Peak Challenge (the DPC). this is just the view from the top as filmed by coach smith. Deseret Peak is 11032 ft tall.

me demonstrating 2 different replacement reactions (thermite) using 2 different metal oxides(iron & copper) copper being lower on the activity series than Iron reacts more vigorously(even with coarser powder) I used a coarser powder on the copper because I wanted to show the liquid copper produced, if i used the german dark like the iron it would have produced a phenomenon I like to call metal rain. I will upload a video to show that at a later date.

I am ramping up the pressure by putting 2 vaccumes together. it seems to work, so now I will make a supper vacume from say 10 different units. I want to get to the top of Everest! lol :) taking the filter out by its self only added about 500ft. I do more tests than I film and I always make sure the tank can hold before I actually get inside. the barometer is reading inches of mercury. I managed to get about 2 inches in this test almost a full PSI! also I get plenty of ventilat

to simulate changing the altitude I hooked a vaccume cleaner up to a big old aluminium tank and then went inside. I have found that a house hold vaccume cleaner only produces the the equivalent of a thousand feet of elevation. sorry its so dark inside I plan on fixing it up eventualy, this is just some peliminary experiments. By the way I do have an confined space operating permit, and there are more safety feachers than are shown in the video.

proving that hooking vacuums together increase the vacuum. initially the altimeter reads 5000ft once all the vacuums are going the preashure is equivalent to an altitude of 12000ft adding more should bring it down even farther.
