Diamond dealer Grünberg causes an accident in a traffic jam because a criminal is holding his family hostage. With police support, he hands over the ransom, but the criminal, Rüdiger Dubeck, escapes. After an accident, André and Semir find the strangled Andrea de Sand. Clues initially lead to truck driver Ulli Richter, but Andrea's diary reveals that her father Richard abused and murdered her.
