in this video, I'll be recreating an old demonstration called the Tree of Saturn. To do this, I'll be using a zinc block and lead acetate, both of which I made in previous videos. I was inspired by a video made by TheBackyardScientist, but I used a slightly different method and procedure.

NOTE: I made a mistake in the diagrams for cellulose, all of the glucose units are missing an oxygen atom! Paper is made of cellulose, and in this video, I'll be converting it into a plastic called cellulose acetate. I'll be making two forms of it, known as cellulose diacetate and cellulose triacetate.
