A provocative film about poverty. Dutch artist Renzo Martens travels to Congo to investigate the phenomenon of poverty, the country's most lucrative export. An industry that generates more money than gold, diamonds and cocoa exports. By encouraging the poor to sell their poverty as a "product", the artist wants to show how the in-world earns immensely large sums of money on this particular "being" poverty.
