The New York Crane Collapse of 2016 - On the 5th of February 2016, an ordinary morning in down town Manhattan spiralled into complete chaos when an enormous crane toppled over and was sent plummeting to the ground resulting in deadly consequences. Terrified onlookers watched on helplessly as the crane destroyed cars and buildings. The incident sent shock waves around New York with many at first thinking it was just a freak accident. Sadness quickly turned into anger once the investigation found that the shocking incident could have been completely avoided. So how did the crane fall? On the 2nd of June 1997, a long, fun day at Concord Waterpark was coming to an end for the seniors of Napa High School when a group of them decided they were going to uphold the school tradition of what was known as “clogging” before they left. The idea involved clogging the Banzai Pipeline water slide, causing a massive pile up before shooting into the waters below together. Little did they know, what was to come would be anything but a joyous memory, more of a nightmare that continues to haunt many of them to this day. On March the 1st of 2000, popular local man John Price failed to show up for work. This was out of character for John and his coworkers were worried, for good reason. The day before, John had explicitly told his boss if he didn’t report for work the next day, his ex partner Katherine Knight had killed him and he was instructed to call the police. Little did the police know they would stumble across one of the most gruesome crimes ever committed in Australian history. On the 26th June 2016, disaster struck at M&D's Scotland's Theme Park when a ride known as the Tsunami Roller Coaster derailed 30 feet in the air and was sent plummeting to the ground. The incident sent shock waves through out Scotland and was described as being worse than a horror move. Sadness soon turned to anger once the investigation found the horrific incident was completely avoidable. This is the story of the Infamous Tsunami roller coaster disaster.

In 2013, Geraldine Largay set off on her dream adventure of hiking the Appalachian trail. She had been preparing for the trip for months and was an avid an experienced hiker ready for the challenge, a challenge that would take months to complete. To help her out, her husband George kept in constant contact with Geraldine and often met her along the way to bring her clean clothes and supplies and also to make sure she was okay. On the 23rd of July she was due to meet George at the Route 27 Crossing but she never showed up. George wasn’t worried at first. He waited and waited but as time went by Gerry never came. Exactly what happened to Gerry wasn’t discovered until two years later when she was found by a crew filming the reality series Animal Planet. This is Wrong turn: the story of Gerry Largay.

On Saturday the 28th of June 2008 a group day out for Oakey Springs Baptist church at The Six Flags Georgia resort ended in tragedy when 17 year old Asia Leeshawn Ferguson ignored warning signs and climbed into a restricted area of the park underneath the Batman Rollercoaster leading to deadly consequences. What transpired after Asia entered the restricted zone would go down in Six flags history as being one of the worst cases of death within their parks. So what happened on that fateful day, this is the infamous story of the batman rollercoaster incident.

On June the first of 2019, a mother (Tracey Smith) and son set off to hike the Nelson Lakes National Park, an area known to be treacherous in the winter months. After meeting a few more hikers along the way, the two spontaneously changed their destination to Angelus hut, which proved to be a fatal error after being left behind by the group. A series of poor decisions was made, resulting in a truly harrowing tale of tragedy and survival. This is mountain climbing gone wrong.

The 2022 buffalo blizzard will be remembered as one of the most destructive storms in Buffalo's history and although it was expected, no one could have foreseen just how bad it would get. The blizzard claimed many lives all over the city with each community having their own story to tell. Due to storms of this magnitude being so rare, it is difficult to prepare for so what would you do if you became stuck in these conditions with visibility next to none and snow plummeting down all around you? This is exactly the predicament that Anndel Taylor found herself in. She became trapped in her car and sadly died.

Camelot Theme Park in England immediately began drawing big crowds. The 2009 Hermosillo dayc*re center fire was a tragic incident that occurred in Hermosillo, Mexico, on June 5, 2009, when a fire broke out at a government-owned dayc*re center. Tom and Eileen Lonergan were a couple from Baton Rouge, Louisiana who vanished during a scuba diving trip in the Great Barrier Reef in January 1998. On the 17 April 2017 Eugene Mahauariki who was attending the Rye Easter Carnival with his family and friends rode the Cha cha ride which ended in disaster. Krug Park was the site of the deadliest roller coaster accident in the United States prior to 1930. The park's "Big Dipper" roller coaster crashed on July 24. He was allegedly abused at the hands of his mother.

On August the 7th 2016, what should have been a fun, family day out for the Schwab family turned into a harrowing nightmare when a thrill ride on the worlds largest waterslide ended in horrific disaster. Caleb Schwab, a young boy from Kansas had one thing on his mind when visiting the Schlitterbahn water park, and that was to go on Verrückt, which at the time was one of the most impressive water slides in the world. What happened that day would go down in history as one of the most gruesome, if not the most gruesome waterslide incident of all time. On the afternoon of June 2, 2023, thousands of Indian holidaymakers and daily commuters boarded trains in Odisha that should have taken them home after family vacations and tiring workdays. Many of them had made the same trip countless times before, for them it was the norm, however that fateful evening would be anything but. That afternoon ended in horrific disaster as the trains passed through Bahanaga Bazar Railway Station. The result was the country’s deadliest train accident in nearly two decades, in which nearly 300 died and more than 1,200 were injured. The day would end in horrific disaster when Adelene was thrown from the ride to her death as her mother watched on.
