A new litter of baking-loving Danes is ready for the premiere of Den store bagedyst 2023. Weeks of pretzel cake challenges lie ahead. Here in the premiere episode, the participants have to bake 'flower heads' that will become a joint bouquet for the judges Katrine and Markus. They must also bake Katrine's favorite cake, and tell a good story about themselves - through the cakes.

The pizza snail is a bit of an unavoidable familiarity for a child's birthday. Now it needs a 'make-over', and the nine participants must create their own new version of the popular snack. A bunch of guest judges lend a much-needed helping hand to Katrine and Markus. The good old pretzel is also a dear classic when someone needs to be celebrated. This time with a traditional recipe from Katrine's maternal grandfather. And then there is a masterpiece party in all kitchens, with themes such as 70's disco, Spiderman, Halloween, Paris, Super Mario and rave party.

A spinning wheel of fortune has a decisive influence on the cakes when the participants bake with fruit. A draw sends the eight amateur bakers into a doubleheader in pairs of old cake classics. They have to bake cakes that are clearly inspired by the cake artist in the world that they look up to the most. The secret challenge once again features a crazy Grigo creation. 4 - 3 - 2 -1! The position is almost right on the last day of the final, where the participants have to bake an edible version of a dream they have. This year's five festive Christmas couples are a wonderful mix of participants from 2022 and 2023. They are ready for two secret challenges on the first day, which begin with unwrapping Christmas presents. The contents of the gifts determine which Christmas cookies they will bake, and then they themselves must improvise the design of the cakes in royal icing. Markus has created beautiful Christmas cakes that exude Christmas spirit, and challenges the participants with both a spray gun and difficult chocolate work! And then every couple delivers masterpieces with lots of fun, humor and an insanely high level of craftsmanship.

The New Year's celebration begins for the three partners in the savory kitchen with a round of delicious hors d'oeuvres. And the expectations for the little New Year's revelers are not exactly lessened by the fact that the secret guest judge is nothing less than a Michelin chef! There will be a bang on the wreath cake in the secret challenge, where the participants have to make wreath cake cannons. And then the last dessert cakes of the year will send the judges' taste buds to heaven - and the real winners home with the trophies!

Six well-known Danes occupy the baking tent and are thrown into challenging cake disciplines.
