On the first episode of Car Trek Series 5, the guys get a taste of the good life by taking a joyride in the mother of all dream cars - the irreplaceable and jaw-droppingly gorgeous McLaren F1. They they get the keys to their own personal dream cars and find out if they're impressive enough for the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance. Ed brings his Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, Tyler has an AMG SLS, complete with gullwing doors, and Freddy rolls up in an Aston Martin DBS, in full James Bond spec. Some feelings may be hurt on this one...

In this episode of Car Trek Series 5, AutoTempest challenges the guys to find out how fast their cars can go on a mile long runway, that regularly sees jets achieve 150mph. Ed's Lamborghini LP640 is technically the right car for the job, but it's not exactly firing on all cylinders. Tyler's SLS AMG has the least cylinders, but has the most technology. And Freddy's Aston Martin DBS is more burnout machine than track star, so it's anyone's race.

Freddy finds a Nissan Maxima that's more furious than fast, Ed snags a Audi S4 that doubles as an ant farm, and Tyler brings a Mercedes-Benz 300TD, a car that was famous for getting to 60 mph in nearly 20 seconds. Freddy's Nissan Maxima isn't doing itself any favors, bringing razor thin tires with heavy wheels to a technical course, and Tyler's Mercedes-Benz 300TD will need a miracle to get out of its own way.
