In Quebec the immense expanses invite men and women to plunge into this wild realm, which is open to all. But one doesn’t become a woodsman or trapper overnight.

Bolivia is the heart of the South American continent, a land of volcanoes and tropical jungles, where the sounds, the aromas and the colors are in harmony with a people descended from the Ancient Incas. With its rugged, dusty hues…. it’s also the land of colorful lakes, in the midst of the Andes mountains.

Burning deserts and massive mountain ranges: the state of Nevada in the American West is an uncompromising land. In this rugged landscape, Men with their original, rough-hewn characters live out their purest aspirations. Nevada is the site of the Burning Man Festival, a utopian space of ephemeral creations in the heart of the desert. The cowboy tradition is still alive and well in this state that can seem like a page out of the Old West. While in Las Vegas, the world’s most intrepid daredevils vie with the eagles.

What if the Garden of Eden really existed Somewhere on Earth? Botswana, a land of Savannah and desert in southern Africa, is heir to a wealth of wildlife. The region of the Kalahari covers almost the entire country, and is a sanctuary for wild animals. From the desert sands to the oasis of a lush delta, the Okavango is the river that never reaches the ocean. It vanishes into the sands of the Kalahari. Botswana, with its 2 million inhabitants, has managed to preserve its magnificent wildlife. This is a safe haven for elephants. Someday, Botswana may be their last refuge.

Sometimes the ocean needs to blow off steam. Off the point of Brittany in western France, the sea flexes its muscles with a harsh beauty. Fascinated by this impressive display, one could almost forget the danger. Storms are spellbinding; a wild fantasy for land dwellers; a tragic menace for sailors. The fishermen of the tumultuous of Raz de Sein are both humble and brave in their pursuit of their noble prey. Others, intrepid storm hunters, track the bad weather and huge waves as they push themselves to their limit in their never-ending search for the absolute. The Raz de Sein is a passage, 6 km wide, between the Pointe du Raz and the island of Sein. For sailors, this is Brittany’s most dangerous spot, an infamous passage. Olivier Mével is an old salt of the point, a hard-headed sailor, an aristocrat of fishing. Olivier is the Captain of the Mundaka. He’s one of the few who dare tackle the waves of the Raz de Sein.

Japan is a land of extremes. Situated on the Pacific “Ring of Fire”, this archipelago still bears the scars of a tumultuous birth. This living, volcanic land thrust up from the ocean depths. Its tormented Nature brought forth masterpieces and has swallowed up numerous enigmas.
