After the death of his father, Laurent inherits shares in the law firm. A prisoner in the terminal stages of cancer wants to leave prison to die; Gladys takes on his case. Robert's son moves to Paris to live with his father.

Laurent defends a fireman accused of setting fire to a block of flats. Working on her defence of Vanina Masson, accused of assaulting a bailiff and causing actual bodily harm, Claire disappears. Elisabeth wants to leave Patrick, but he takes the news particularly badly and threatens her with a knife.

Robert defends Morad Saïd, accused of an attempted terrorist attack on a school. The defendant doesn't say very much and Judge Chapelle is convinced of his guilt. Elisabeth defends a client suffering from an OCD. The law company still has no news of Claire and an investigation has been launched...

Elisabeth defends a young woman who killed a nurse with a pair of scissors. Claire's lawyer's robes have been found in a square. The members of the firm are interviewed individually as part of the investigation into her disappearance.

Robert finds himself plunged back into a case that has been haunting him for years. A skeleton has been found that could be the remains of Lisa Paoli. Robert and his friend, Superintendent Hérard, re-open the case. A new lawyer, Emmanuelle, has been taken on by the law firm.

Gladys defends a 16 year-old accused of having brutally murdered his mother. The law firm is in shock: Claire's body has been found. The young woman apparently drowned after an overdose of prescription drugs. But Gladys refuses to believe it was suicide...

Gladys continues to investigate Claire's death. Laurent takes on the case of a man claiming to have killed his wife, who died whilst in hospital with appendicitis. Emmanuelle defends a cinema usherette held responsible for the death of a teenager unable to escape from the cinema during a fire.

N'Guyen defends a big shot in the medical world. Patrick arrives in the law offices, armed and demanding to see Elisabeth at once. In her absence, he threatens Rose, Audrey and Robert. Elisabeth finally arrives and tries to calm the situation.

Patrick is in a coma. Emmanuelle defends a young boxer accused of having run over a pregnant woman whilst driving his sports car. Gladys is obsessed with Claire's death, convinced that she was killed by Canyon and determined to prove it.See le

Rose is expecting Thomas's baby, he is visibly very much in love with her and delighted by the news. Gladys remains obsessed by Claire's death and tries to persuade Superintendent Hérard of Canyon's guilt.

With Emmanuelle needing an office, Robert moves Rose to the archives. N'Guyen defends a leading fashion designer whose one-night "guest" died of a heart attack at his home. Gladys defends Pascaline Mancini, found unconscious beside her boss, killed by a lethal combination of prescription drugs.

Rose resigns and Audrey also announces her intention to leave. Given the lack of evidence in the case concerning Claire's death and Canyon's possible guilt, Judge Boniek decides to release the suspect. N'Guyen discovers that Gladys is having an affair with Hérard. Elisabeth buries her husband.

The Zelder law firm and the Saint-Martin police work to defend Chloé and Gladys, victims of the same conspiracy. Lawyers and police play cat and mouse, without anyone really knowing who's doing what. But when a body is discovered they finally have no choice but to cooperate.
