After winning a literary prize, Robert has become particularly sought-after and has little time left for running the law firm. He appoints Claire as his replacement. The young lawyer's first case: that of a security guard sacked after a hold-up.

Robert has taken on a case incriminating a former client, Frank Saurin. In the past, Saurin had been accused of murdering a young student and Robert successfully had the charges dismissed. His client is now suspected of rape and murder in a case that seems remarkably similar to the first.

Nadia has been put in charge of a sensitive case. Her client, Gaëlle Charbonnel has brought charges against her psychiatrist for sexual abuse. Nicolas agrees to defend Gladys, accused of bribing a witness. Meanwhile, Laurent has been made a partner in the law firm.

Robert has been sent compromising photos showing him kissing Dorine in an underground car park. He's convinced it's a dirty trick on the part of a rival lawyer, Mr Boutard. Audrey, deemed to be under the influence of a sect, is moved to working in the archives.

Laurent is working on the defence of Patrick Garnier, accused of several cases of rape. Given the repeated excuses provided and his client's panic-stricken behaviour, it doesn't take him long to realise that Garnier lives in terror of his daughter and is under her sway. Robert and Antoine make up.

Antoine defends Jean, a gardener accused of having kidnapped his employers' baby. Since his arrest, Jean has taken refuge in an obtuse silence. Meanwhile Nadia is handling the defence of Franck, accused of vandalising a fur warehouse.See l

Laurent defends Mr Chalon, accused of having knocked over a young girl. As he hadn't been drinking and wasn't driving fast, the driver remains adamant that she literally ran out right in front of him. Gladys defends a fencing champion, seriously injured by her main rival during a training session.

Robert and Claire handle a case of murder: Sébastien Forli is accused of having poisoned his wife with arsenic. The Lorients want to bring charges against the doctor who operated on their son and mistakenly removed his pancreas, making him diabetic and dependant for the rest of his life.

After the first round of the Bar presidential elections Robert is ahead of his opponents. As he prepares to celebrate the event, he learns that Dorine has been arrested and placed in custody, accused of tax evasion. Laurent also learns that during the night, Adrien had been killed at his new club.
