Their names are Qumaira, Petra, Dirk, Ulla.... They hit France throughout the autumn and winter. Behind these names hides a succession of violent storms the likes of which France has rarely experienced. The entire coastline still bears traces of it. How do we experience these storms in threatened areas of the seaside? What are the consequences for the erosion of our coasts? And what concrete solutions are there to limit the effects of wave strike? Thalassa tries to answer these questions by going to meet those who, on the coasts of Brittany, Normandy, Aquitaine or the Mediterranean, face the wrath of the sea but who would not leave their corner of the coast for anything in the world.
