Jimmy and Fiona think the business is doing well enough that they don't need to rely on the franchise during the winter months, which comes as a disappointment to Mr. Watson.

Concerns are high in Glendarroch, Jimmy worries about his father not being able to get over his job while Mrs. Cunningham prepares herself for Hogg's return and Isabel hears of a surprise nomination.

Brian is convinced that a one time Glendarroch resident has returned much sooner than expected and Fiona announces her future plans to Jimmy who fails to see her point of view.

Grace reminisces with Robert Forsyth when he calls to look at an ewe. Lorna asks Douglas about taking in a lodger.

Hogg is back with more power. Dougal is trying to get Morag to buy a new tractor. Fiona walks out on the aqua-sports business.

Geddes is not impressed with Fiona when she visits his farm. Hogg inspects the books at Blair's Store. Brian suspects he is planning to raise the rents. Ken tells Mrs Mack he is moving in with Lorna.

Andy Semple is interviewed about the break-in at Blair's Store. Jackie turns up unexpectedly to see Douglas. Alice eventually tells Bob she might be pregnant.

Mrs Cunningham's investigation into keeping the horses in Glendarroch seems to be proving in her favour meanwhile Bob shares his delight in finding out he's going to become a father.

Mrs Mack continues to gossip about Lorna and Ken and Mr Hogg approaches the Lachlans about Glendarroch Estate. Mr Dunbar finds out the real reason behind Jacqui's visit.

Alice finally has a doctor's check to confirm whether she is pregnant or not. Glendarroch are preparing themselves for the games day and Jimmy is irritated by Eddie.

It's Games Day in Glendarroch. The entire village attends the event including Andy Semple who leaves to pay Isabel a visit at the shop and there is an unfortunate incident regarding the prize money.

An investigation takes place into the theft of the prize money at the games. Alice anxiously awaits the news from the doctor and Jimmy's jealousy starts to show.

Jimmy is shocked to find Kate has turned up in Glendarroch when he is finishing up in the office. Alice experiences pains, leaving Bob in a panic.

An act of vandalism to Brian Blair's car tyres infuriates him and he immediately names the culprit as Andy Semple. Hogg, being his usual cold hearted self, insists rent increase notices are sent out.

Mrs Cunningham calls a meeting regarding rent increases. Bob is concerned about Alice's pains so early in the pregnancy and Fiona's original plans to get money together have fallen through.

Jimmy isn't sure how to handle the situation with Kate so continues to let her sleep on the floor of the office. Mrs. Lachlan is concerned for Alice and the pains she experienced.

Isabel informs Kate's parents of her whereabouts. The residents of Glendarroch attend Mrs Cunningham's called meeting which brings a negative response.

Alice is in a lot of pain resulting in both her and Bob fearing the worst when she is taken to hospital. Mr Hogg surprises Mrs Cunningham and Mr Dunbar with an unexpected gesture.

It's bad news for Alice & Bob when Alice is taken in for surgery. Isabel is becoming a popular member of the committee being nominated for various positions. Kate takes a walk to meet Eddie Ramsey.

Grace tells Morag about Alice. Mr Hogg does his rounds before leaving. Isabel tells Elizabeth about the unrest felt by the villagers over the rent rises.

Fiona has been turned down for a bank loan. Elizabeth tells Douglas to send out the rent rise letters. Lorna and Ken move into the cottage watched by Mrs Mack. Peter tells Isabel about Kate and Eddie seeing each other.

Inverdarroch asks Brian for help but not Eddie. Fiona asks Kate to help at the stables, and she notices that Geddes is always near the tack room. Carradine explains the legal position on the rent rises and Fiona's inheritance.

Mr McPherson, the minister tells Elizabeth he thinks the villagers feel betrayed, but she refuses to back down. Dr Wallace tells Grace that Alice is having a hard time in hospital. Jamie Stewart sells his tractor to Dougal for £400.

Grace agrees to go to dinner with the vet, Robert Forsyth. Morag delivers the tractor to Dougal who tries to back down on the engagement plan. Geddes finds Kate and Eddie at the stables.

Uncle William sees Fiona about the advance on her grandmother's inheritance. Lorna is suffering from the gossip about her and Ken. Geddes breaks up a fight between Jimmy and Eddie. Alice returns to Ardvain.

Alice wants to go back to her own home. Mr Murdoch invites Mrs Mack round for supper, but she has to look after displaced families as the big storm breaks. Geddes tells Fiona he will look after the horses, but she stays on.

The village rallies round during the storm. Eddie's father is trapped under a tree, Brian and Jimmy go to the rescue. Jimmy uses the ferry to get the doctor from Auchtarne.

Eddie runs of after having words with his father. The storm finally breaks leaving the people of Glendarroch to start repairing the damage caused.

Eddie has stolen the doctor's bag, brian wants to give him another chance - until he finds out it was Eddie who broke into his shop.

Isabel has gone to visit Helen and David leaving Jimmy and Brian to run the shop. Jimmy and Brian talk about Eddie’s crime spree. Archie doesn’t like the work that has been created by the storm.

Elizabeth informs Fiona of her decision. Alex wants to tell Elizabeth about his relationship with her daughter. Dougal is being encouraged to take Morag to the pictures.

Archie finds Lorna in tears over a letter she has received. Kate fishes for information from her uncle and discuses what had happened with Eddie. Archie informs Ken about the letter.

Dougal has an argument with Alice about how ungrateful she is, and says she can go to the cottage, but will not be taking Donald with her.

Ken is seen in the pub by Elizabeth, he is drinking what appears to be orange juice. Mr Geddes invites Fiona into his home as they are keeping a relationship secret.

Ken makes a drunken scene in the pub and gets taken home by Jimmy and Brian. He shoves Lorna, then breaks down back at the house. Alice moves to the cottage, just as Dougal's dog dies.
