While Booker is widely considered among the NBA’s brightest young stars, his origins tell a humbler story. “When I was a kid growing up in Michigan, I’d close my eyes before bed and imagine what my house might one day look like.” With an assist from L.A.-based AD100 firm Clements Design and in collaboration with L.A.-based Karan Brady Interiors, that dream is now a reality. With retracting walls of glass and a yard that boasts a Bali-inspired swimming pool, a firepit, and a guesthouse, the young superstar knows that wherever the rigors of an NBA season may take him, this personalized oasis will be waiting upon his return.

Today AD takes you to Manhattan’s Upper East Side to visit with the inimitable Shonda Rhimes for a tour of her posh new apartment. As the driving force behind a chain of hit series, most recently 'Bridgerton' and 'Inventing Anna', Rhimes is one of Hollywood’s most successful and inspiring creators. In designing her brand-new New York City apartment, Rhimes sought a space to write, create, and continue to build her successful Shondaland media empire - something she achieved with AD100 designer Michael S. Smith. The home is full of places where the single mother of three can decide to work (or daydream) as inspiration strikes. “I’m building an entire sort of universe in my mind, but I’m also trying to think of a series. It’s not just two hours, it’s not just 30 minutes; sometimes it’s 18 seasons. You really do need time and space to think about it.”

Today AD brings you to Burbank, CA for an all-access look inside The Try Guys’ vibrant office and studio space. Zach Kornfeld, Eugene Lee Yang, Keith Habersberger, and Ned Fulmer rose to fame making YouTube videos where they enthusiastically expand their horizons - so there’s something fitting about the quartet assuming the challenge of creating a custom office space for the first time. Loud and whimsical, the design of the Try Guys HQ makes perfect sense. In a place where the cameras are often rolling, there’s impeccable lighting and plenty of fun accent walls that can also serve as backdrops for videos. “It’s like the Wonka factory, but instead of you being able to eat everything, you can film everything,” says Zach.

Today Architectural Digest is welcomed to Los Angeles by Ashley Tisdale for an inside look at the stunning new home she designed for her family. Tisdale and her composer husband Christopher French moved into their current home when she was around seven months pregnant, at which point the High School Musical alum dove headfirst into decorating. The talented Tisdale was well prepared for the undertaking, considering she launched her design passion project, Frenshe Interiors, last year. “I went with the mentality of falling in love with every piece,” she says. “I fully love this house. I love every piece of everything I’ve done here, and I’m really proud of myself.”

Today Architectural Digest is welcomed to Nashville by Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves for a tour of her beautiful, serene home. Musgraves purchased the property in 2020 during a time of significant change in her life, setting out to recalibrate the entire feel both inside and out alongside interior designer Lindsay Rhodes. “I wanted a place that felt like me,” she says, “where I could express myself without having to think about another person and what they might want. This felt like a new beginning.”

Today AD is welcomed to Los Angeles by singer-songwriter and actress Chloë Bailey for a tour of her elegant home. Working with West Elm, Chloë designed her first adult apartment to serve as a restorative sanctuary, a place to find respite from the demands of her very busy life. As for the aesthetic her vision was simple: a zen space that felt “elegant, chic, and elevated,” a reflection of the confidence, ambition, and warmheartedness she embodies.

Today AD is welcomed to Los Angeles, CA by Seth Rogen for a look inside the headquarters of Houseplant, the cannabis/home goods brand he founded with business partner Evan Goldberg. Though the company also has a more run-of-the-mill office space, Houseplant mainly operates out of a 1918-built Los Angeles bungalow. ”We did not set out to base Houseplant out of a house,” the comedian says - but it makes perfect sense. “A lot of our products are home goods. We found that being able to see them in a home setting was invaluable.”

Today AD is welcomed to Southern California by creative powerhouse and Jungalow founder Justina Blakeney for a tour of her vibrant and welcoming home. The Spanish-style home and 2,700 square foot property are a slice of paradise, built in the early ’30s with traditional Mediterranean details and midcentury-modern flair. Blakeney, along with husband Jason Rosencrantz and contractors New Generation Home Improvements, tweaked the original five-bedroom layout to better suit their family's (and growing creative empire's) needs - including converting the garage into a guest room/workshop ideal for testing her new wallpapers and bedding. With every room set to evoke a different mood, it’s all hyper-eclectic. “We were really intentional about creating different spaces for the experiences that we want to have in the home."

Today Travis Barker welcomes Architectural Digest to Calabasas, California for a tour of the understated, modern home he shares with his growing family. It's been a busy spring for the perpetually in-demand musician - Barker recently produced Machine Gun Kelly’s latest album Mainstream Sellout (which hit #1 on the Billboard charts) and is currently in the studio working on his own label DTA Records, a joint venture with Elektra Music Group. When he decided it was time to refresh the feel of the home he’s owned for 15 years, his mother-in-law Kris Jenner suggested he reach out to Waldo Fernandez, a perennial fixture on the AD100. Barker admits that the restrained vibe he arrived at is a bit of a departure from some of his previous residences. “I’ve had homes with lots of flashy cars, murals, and bikes hanging from the ceiling. But with three children of my own, plus Kourtney’s kids, this place felt right for this moment in my life."

Today AD is welcomed to Toronto, Ontario by the inimitable Matty Matheson for a tour of his newly opened restaurant, Prime Seafood Palace. Not your typical lobster shack, Matty worked with architect Omar Gandhi to imbue the dining room with a stylish, timeless feel, where warm tones and sinuous furniture compliment his menu's hearty offerings.

Today AD is welcomed to Los Angeles by actor/director Bryce Dallas Howard and husband Seth Gabel for a tour of their new home, an "organically glamorous" space paying homage to classic Hollywood with an undercurrent of California vibes. To realize her vision, Bryce recruited family friend Claire Thomas to mastermind the decoration of the four-bedroom, two-story new-build. “We immediately knew that the core color palette for the house was going to be pink and green,” Thomas says. “I always joke that I only use redhead colors—that is, colors that redheads look great in. I’m a redhead and Bryce is a redhead so it works.”

Today Architectural Digest is welcomed to the idyllic English countryside by actor Sienna Miller to visit the centuries-old cottage she's made her home. When she first saw the property in Buckinghamshire, England, she fell for it hard. “It was a time when there was a lot of press attention on me, and I wanted somewhere to escape.” Sienna enlisted her close friend, director Gaby Dellal, to assist in breathing new life into the 16th-century thatched-roof cottage. “The house offers a sanctuary,” says Miller. “It has a nurturing feeling; it is a home with a heart.”

Today AD is welcomed to Palm Beach, Florida by Dee & Tommy Hilfiger for a tour of their lakefront, Mediterranean-style home. A spacious 5,000 square feet, the property is resplendent with verdant gardens and white columns soaring towards arched ceilings. Built in 2006, the Hilfigers were immediately drawn to the indoor-outdoor architecture of their new home, which, modeled after many of Palm Beach’s older estates, features an interior courtyard. The couple turned to AD100 designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard to achieve their goal of infusing that open and bright feel throughout the interior, as well. "The house has a wonderful soul." says Bullard. "We just had to take away the formality and make it feel a bit younger, sexier, looser.”

Today AD is welcomed to Greenwich Village in New York by Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent for a tour of their freshly renovated family home. For those who have been following this couple and design duo extraordinaire through the years, their "new" place may look oddly familiar - they actually lived their from 2013 to 2016 before relocating west. The apartment wasn't available when they first returned to New York but when life afforded them a chance to revisit one of their relationship's foundational settings, they knew they had to act. “Conversations about having children, conversations about planning a wedding. It’s where all the dreaming began for us.”

Today AD is welcomed to Los Angeles by award-winning singer-songwriter and actor Demi Lovato to tour her trippy modern farmhouse. With six bedrooms and seven bathrooms spread across 8,500 square feet, the spacious Studio City property provided the blank canvas that Lovato had always dreamed about. Imbuing her new home with life alongside Argyle Design founders Kat Bell and James Drew was a process that paralleled her own personal journey. Every inch of the space embodies her personality—and the sense of fluidity that continues to shape her identity.

Designed in collaboration with Ashley Drost and Marie Trohman of Proem Studio, the house deftly mirrors its inhabitant’s chill, laid-back vibe and intriguing sensibility. “I’m a mood board type of girl. I scoured every corner on the internet, every weird, deep hole on Pinterest,” says Emma. “I find inspiration for the home everywhere, the same as fashion. It’s all one in my mind.”

Today critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Rita Ora welcomes AD to London for a tour of her extraordinary Victorian-era home. Ora finished furnishing her new home with vintage finds from London’s famous Portobello Road Market - and most of the items she’d already owned and used in previous homes. Her sister and manager, Elena Ora, is responsible for arranging the furniture collection in the home, and interior designer Joanna Plant was brought in to add “little bits and bobs” to tie everything together. As she works on her third album, Ora couldn’t be happier with the calm and grounding home base she’s created. “My exterior self is super flamboyant, colorful, and I’m really proud of the decisions I make. Internally, my interior self is the opposite. I wanted my inner self reflected in my home.”

Today Architectural Digest is welcomed to Malibu by Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo for a tour of her inviting mid-century beach house. Pompeo first went to scope out the property several years earlier, when the house was originally up for sale and Grey’s was still in its infancy. “I knew I couldn’t afford it, but I didn’t tell anyone that,” she confesses. When the house came back on the market in 2013, she seized the second chance. As her fans know, Pompeo is a bona fide interior-design enthusiast whose past renovations include a modern barn in Sag Harbor and her main residence, a 1920s Mediterranean-style villa in Los Angeles. The addition of her Malibu home has only added fuel to the fire. “I am entering a very exciting phase of my life, if I do say so myself.”
