Walczak and Wichura are assigned to the case of a body found in a gazebo in an allotment garden. The deceased is identified as Filip Joniak, a small-time recidivist who worked for Miech, a local gangster. Joniak allegedly robbed Miech, but the gangster has an alibi - he was abroad at the time of the murder. Joniak's body was found in the gazebo by homeless people who intended to spend the night there. Walczak and Wichura do not know that the homeless have robbed the body, taking, among other things, the deceased's phone number - which may prove to be key evidence in the case. Everyone at the police station is preparing for the upcoming funeral of Julia Pakulska. Even Bolek Kowalski, who has not been seen in Wrocław for a long time, comes to the ceremony.

Sikor and Rosa must solve a mysterious murder. The body of a man - Mateusz Bracki - the owner of the premises - was found in the basement of one of the apartments. Traces were also discovered there indicating that someone was imprisoned in the room. And it wasn't the host. During the investigation, it turns out that Bracki suffered from depression and was undergoing psychiatric treatment. A friend from the therapeutic group claims that Mateusz had a drug problem. And perhaps this problem had something to do with Bracki's other friend. However, investigators did not have time to question her - the woman committed suicide. Meanwhile, Lipka returns to active service to, together with Latoszek, catch Wangog, who is still free.

Mężczyzna niedawno sprzedał mieszkanie i uczynił to w dość tajemniczych okolicznościach. Otrzymane środki zniknęły bez śladu, co sugeruje śledczym, że Wojnar mógł być winien komuś duże pieniądze. W dalszym toku śledztwa wychodzi na jaw, że profesor był szantażowany. Nie jest to jednak jedyna tajemnica, jaką skrywał zamordowany. Tymczasem Garda wciąż nie potrafi wybaczyć Sikorowi zdrady, jakiej się dopuścił. Policjant nie jest jednak świadom, że zarówno on jak i Sikor padli ofiarą manipulacji.

W hospicjum umiera mężczyzna - Witold Modzelewski. Tuż przed śmiercią próbował zabić jedną z opiekunek, a także zostawił po sobie dziwną i podejrzaną spuściznę. To pożegnalne listy pięciu kobiet zagranicznego pochodzenia. W każdym z listów znajdował się kosmyk włosów oraz biżuteria. Cztery z pięciu kobiet zostało uznanych za zaginione. A zaginięcie ostatniej z nich wiąże się z tragiczną śmiercią syna Modzelewskiego. Tymczasem śledztwo w sprawie zaginionego Łukasza Czapli coraz bardziej się komplikuje. Grono zaginionych powiększyło się o kolejnych dwóch chłopców. Każdą sprawę zdaje się łączyć tajemnicza symbolika związana z dawnymi wierzeniami. Okazuje się, że nieżyjąca licealista była w rzeczywistości chłopcem będącym w procesie korekcji płci. Śledczy podejrzewają, że doszło do zbrodni z nienawiści. Tym bardziej, że przyjaciółka zamordowanej rzuca cień podejrzeń na własnego ojca, dla którego ktoś taki jak Ida jest zagrażającym wynaturzeniem. Równolegle Kaśka Lipka i Adam Zawada kontynuują poszukiwania Wangoga. W końcu trafili na jego trop. Przestępca jednak za wszelką cenę próbuje zatrzeć pozostawione po sobie ślady.
