A spiritual tale about the place where the sky and the earth meet. A mysterious old man grazes his sheep, and three brothers are put to the test.

Life awards a well-off Saxon farmer not only with the "burden" of wealth and abundance but also "compensates" him with a kind of loony and silly wife, who does not like to work. The more Szusza tries to "please her husband," the more the farmer loses his patience. In the end he manages to get rid off his wife, who hardly knows her place in the world by that time.

A series of tales from the Balaton Highlands, in which the naive scratching of a little rooster starts a lavina of unexpected absurdities. The picket-fence falls down in sadness, the crow pulls out his nice tail-feather, the tree cuts down its branches, the deer drives away her kids, the water in the well becomes blood, the maid breaks the bucket on her head, the pickles are thrown onto the wall, a father shaves his nice beard, and a young man would also cut off all four legs of the cow, if the soldier did not finish off this self-destructive process.

The old king is distraught, because his daughters tear their slippers at midnight every night, and he promises a great reward to anyone who would find out where his daughters are tearing these slippers apart. A shepherd boy solves the mystery. He watches the girls and even follows them to hell, where the girls' slippers are torn, because they sing and dance with the devil 'til dawn. He collects proof and presents them to the king to solve the mystery and wins the heart of the youngest princess, stopping the slipper tearing.

A widower drives out two sisters from their home. Wandering in the woods the younger sister drinks from an animal footprint and becomes a deer. The king, who is hunting, takes them to his palace. Cerceruska becomes a princess. A wicked lady chef manages to get her daughter on the throne by intrigue. In the end sibling love turns everything all right.

How can you make the sad princess of the black city laugh? First take a penniless shepherd boy and a gold-wool lamb. Then comes a girl, a crustullum form, a priest, a stick and an elderly woman, who start to move closer to one another to dance to a flute melody. The end of the movie brings a happy end to the princess, the shepherd boy, and even to the black city.

Once upon a time a king had three daughters, but the two older ones were so wicked – for they could not have the red skirt – that they would not even scare away from murdering their sister. Despite hiding their sister in a violin, a penniless wood-cutter finds her. During his wonderous travels he visits just the city where the king’s daughter went through this dire deed. To the ungodliness of the wicked princesses the sad song of exactly the violin, in which they had hidden their sister, brings light. This is how the youngest princess is reborn and returns home, where she gets the red skirt.

The horse of a penniless man is determined to find a pal, so that they would drag the cart together. During his forest adventures he finds a wolf fur coat.
