Budding chocolatiers compete for the chance to make their own chocolate bar that will be manufactured and sold by one of the biggest chocolate companies in the world. This time, the contestants are challenged to make a supersize bar and bite-sized pieces with lots of texture, as well as getting to make use of some of the latest chocolate-making gadgets - which do not always work as intended, leading to some unexpected meltdowns. The Hairy Bikers Dave and Si also visit a top-secret sensory laboratory where products are tested for taste.

Using everything that they have learned so far, the final three chocolatiers embark on the ultimate chocolate challenge. The battle begins with a brutal knock-out round, in which they must create three different versions of their unique signature chocolate bar. After being whittled down to two, they create a prototype bar that can be developed and manufactured by a major company - having first been scrutinised by panel of elite supertasters and members of a chocolate-loving focus group.
