In a time of global crisis, an international task force of heroes banded together to restore peace to a war-torn world. This organization, known as Overwatch, ended the crisis and helped maintain peace for a generation, inspiring an era of exploration, innovation, and discovery.
After many years, Overwatch's influence waned and it was eventually disbanded. Now in the wake of its dismantling, conflict is rising once again. Overwatch may be gone…but the world still needs heroes.

Justice ain’t gonna dispense itself.
It’s high noon as McCree takes center stage in “Train Hopper,” the first in a series of free digital comic shorts that further illuminate the characters and world of Overwatch. “Train Hopper” follows a day in the life of gunslinging outlaw Jesse McCree, the former Blackwatch operative who metes out his own brand of vigilante justice. In “Train Hopper,” McCree hitches a ride on a hypertrain to Houston in the hopes of skipping town and laying low for a while. But soon after the engine starts, he realizes his trip is going to be anything but “low profile.” Written by Blizzard’s own Robert Brooks and illustrated by Bengal (Adventures of Supergirl), “McCree: Train Hopper” is now available to read in full! “Dragon Slayer,” the second in our series of free digital comics, chronicles an adventure of Overwatch’s knight of a bygone age, Reinhardt. An old soul who’s spent most of his life on the battlefield, Reinhardt tirelessly continues his noble quest to fight for justice.
When Reinhardt comes across a village that’s being threatened by a vicious gang known as the Dragons, he picks up his massive hammer and does what any true knight would: protect those who cannot defend themselves.

The latest installment in our series of digital comic shorts, “Uprising,” takes place in the years before the fall of Overwatch.
In “Uprising,” we witness a flashpoint in the conflict between humans and omnics. On the eve of the groundbreaking for England’s new home for omnics, London is attacked by Null Sector, an extremist faction of robots fighting for equal rights no matter the cost. With Overwatch blocked from interfering, Strike Commander Jack Morrison must decide whether to disobey orders or stand by while thousands of lives are in peril.
