This is part 1 of the Try Hards series focusing on merch. We do a deep-dive on t-shirt manufacturing to try to figure out how to make the best merch we can, and share all the information we've learned in the process. This is part two of the Try Hards series about creating a merch line. In order to sell graphic tees, first we'll need artwork. This video answers some common questions about hiring freelance artists, including “how much does it cost to hire an artist,” “how do I find a freelance artist”, “can I ask for revisions,” and “will I owe the artist royalties?” We go over some best practices we learned for contract work, as well as some mistakes we (intentionally) made regarding payments. We also shout out ten artists who are willing to take freelance gigs.
