Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer face a double challenge that's all about postcodes and pickiness when they search for dream family homes in Harrow and Hertfordshire.

Kirstie and Phil visit Manchester to hunt out two very different first homes for two young buyers new to the market. But the two searches are not as simple as they seem - neither buyer will be living in their new home alone, and both of them are promising to share the decision-making equally, even though they're each stumping up all of the funds. Interior designer Abigail Carpe is keen to buy herself a first home, with best friend Kay renting the spare room. She sets her sights on the challenge of finding a two bed, period home for just £150K in Manchester's trendy, pricey, southern suburbs. Phil knows this is going to be a struggle, but can he combine Abigail's desire for a good buy with Kay's needs for a convenient location? David Isaac has a healthy £235K budget and is after a city centre pad for himself and girlfriend Ashleigh. He wants Kirstie to find them a flat with bags of space and a location that lets them enjoy all the city has to offer. David wants Ashleigh to have an equal say in which apartment they choose, but what happens when Kirstie finds them each a different dream flat? Will balancing the separate needs of their house buyers and their other halves prove to be double trouble for Kirstie and Phil?
