Die zijn nodig om meer biggetjes te kunnen dragen en voeden. Een boer vertelt dat varkens inderdaad meer biggen krijgen dan vroeger. Bij een fokbedrijf krijgen we uitgelegd hoe we het varken zover hebben gekregen om meer biggen te gaan baren en we gaan op bezoek bij een spermastation, waarvandaan het zaad de hele wereld over vliegt.

De spieren zijn niet ontstaan in het krachthonk, maar door een genetisch foutje, waarop in verschillende rassen is doorgefokt. Het rund krijgt spieren, maar doet er niets mee. De mens wel, die eet die spieren op en dan is het fijn als er zo veel aan zo'n beest zitten. Maar er is ook een keerzijde: omdat de runderen zo groot zijn, kunnen ze niet meer op natuurlijke wijze worden geboren. Er is een keizersnede voor nodig.

We kijken naar de geit. Op verpakkingen geitenkaas zien we geiten mét en zonder hoorns. Heeft een geit nou hoorns of niet? Op een kinderboerderij met zowel gehoornde als hoornloze geiten, worden we niet veel wijzer. We horen dat geiten worden onthoornd en we mogen dat zien. Geiten worden onthoornd omdat ze elkaar anders kunnen verwonden als ze met elkaar in een stal leven. Toch denkt niet iedereen dat dat noodzakelijk is. We kijken ook bij een boer die haar geiten juist niet onthoort omdat geiten met hoornen natuurlijk gedrag kunnen vertonen, wat volgens haar noodzakelijk is voor hun welzijn.
