The 11th Cyber Formula WGPX kicks off in 2016.
Last year's champion, Hayato Kazami, has modified his championship car, the Asurada, and is aiming to win the opening race. However, rival teams are fielding cars that are even better than Asurada's.
Unable to keep up with his rivals, Hayato finishes the opening and second races with no points.
Then, in the third race, Hayato, determined to win, becomes impatient and drives recklessly, causing his engine to blow up and causing him to retire.

In the final race, Hayato and Schumacher went off the track and started from the back of the pack. However, the two made an astonishing comeback, posting lap times on par with their qualifying results. Hayato was once again overwhelmed by Osamu's driving technique and fighting spirit, and Osamu shouted to Hayato in his heart, "If you're the true champion of this new era, beat me now. And surpass me!"
