Between nervousness and anticipation, an emotional rollercoaster begins. But as soon as the doors of the tight, dark boxes close, it gets serious: how will they react to their new home?

In the second episode, the lights go out, and the participants must adapt to the new circumstances. Basic needs start to surface as they look for creative ways to bridge the time. Additionally, most of them come across a crucial object— a glimmer of hope in the darkness?

The participants are confronted with the possible consequences of their time in the box. Early psychological and physical signs begin to surface. Ronny steps into the role of amateur psychologist, while Knossi finds himself increasingly strained by fatigue. Then a trial awaits everyone: who will experience a moment of insight?

In the fifth episode of DEEP DOWN, respite finally seems in sight—yet not everyone can take advantage of it. Sascha’s body rebels, and his resolve is put to its first test. The “new morning” brings back old lessons: without routines, a mental breakdown looms. Each person develops their own strategies to fight the void—then an unexpected object appears. What could it mean?

The participants confront reality for the first time—what lies buried deep within them? Repressed feelings rise to the surface, and Knossi in particular bares his heart: thoughts, fears, and desires come to light. Is this the path to true self‑discovery—or merely the start of an endless mental carousel? A choice must be made when two new objects enter the scene.

The confined space, the void, the passage of time: almost everyone struggles not only with themselves but also with crushing boredom. Uncertainty and fear spread rapidly, while hunger and boredom grow ever more dominant in the box-bound contestants’ daily lives. As Knossi strains to keep track of time, Lewin steels himself mentally for the gruelling hours ahead.

The participants set out to search for new objects and face a decision—but what exactly are they choosing? The outcomes range from great joy to deep disappointment: Ronny and Willy receive an extraordinary opportunity, while Knossi must deal with the consequences of a wrong choice.

The participants face a deeply personal challenge—and some reach their emotional limits in the process. Each one digs into their own interior; Ronny and Knossi are talkative, while others find it much harder. Can everyone manage to reveal a part of themselves that has long been hidden deep inside?
