Century Of Warfare

Between the turn of the century and the great war, the United States begins to find herself and begins to acquire colonial possessions of her own.

America becomes involved in the great war of 1914-1918. A late arrival, but following 3 bloody years of attrition and millions of dead, it is the tipping point of the German defeat.

After a period of isolationism and much anti-war sentiment, America joins the Second World War on the side of the Allies following the sneak attack at Pearl Harbour by the Japanese.

The first Cold War fuelled conflict where America and her international coalition of Allies eject the North Koreans from the South Korean Peninsula. Pursuing the invaders almost to the borders of China, the Red Chinese are provoked and join the war that quickly turns into a long and bitter struggle which results in a stalemate.

Following the French defeat at Dien Bien Phu, America moves from commitment to Vietnamisation and a long and bloody stuggle ensues. America's involvement is full hearted in an effort to prevent the spread of global communism across South East Asia.

Following Saddam Hussein's invasion of its neighbour Kuwait, America mobilises and forms an international coalition of forces that quickly and decisively destroys the Iraqi fighting capability with an incredible display of technology, military prowess and destruction. Kuwait is quickly liberated and Saddam is left to fight another day.
