Kiki Inoue’s dreams of becoming a pop star are dashed when she gets kicked out of her band. To make ends meet, she takes a part-time job at a minor convenience store chain. Her only joy in life is blogging about desserts sold at various convenience store chains. Then one day she meets Takumi Asaba, the president of her chain, who’s determined to turn his company around by developing a new line of confections. Working with the convenience store chain’s pastry chef, Kiki develops a cream puff recipe for their new line of desserts. But before receiving final approval, her recipe must be judged against a competing cream puff recipe developed by Riho, a member of the company’s sweets department.
