A new series of 'Doctor in the House' kicks off tonight which sees a load of doctors arrive at your gaff and point out everything you are doing wrong in your life. They usually have willing participants though so don't be alarmed, they're not going to show up in the middle of your Dominos one day. Tonight, the health professionals head to Finglas in Dublin to help the O'Connor family, whose lifestyle has descended into takeaways, daily alcohol and almost no exercise. After being monitored, screened and assessed, the family is give some shocking news, and they have eight weeks to turn things around before being retested.

Final episode in the series tonight for the Doctors in the House as the team comes to the aid of a couple in Drogheda. The pair came to Ireland from South Africa and Zimbabwe as asylum seekers in 2008, and spent five years waiting to be granted the right to work. They now have jobs as healthcare assistants while their daughter studies to become a nurse.
The docs will have their work cut out for them tonight as dad Daniel refuses to take any medication for his type 2 diabetes and eats about 3-4 takeaways a week, while daughter Gugu’s diet consists of high fatty foods and virtually no exercise, with her weight escalating to over 23 stone. The docs worry Gugu won't even make it to 50 at this rate, can they help her and the rest of her family turn things around?
