Yogscast: Civilization V

Civilization is back, and with it comes the masters of conquest and deception. Lewis, Pyrion, Rythian, Sjin, Turps and myself are back to find out who deserves to ascend the throne as the King of Kings.

The guys tutor Turps while discussing tactics and city names. Meanwhile, Sjin reveals some troubling news about his scientist.

Alliances are made and the race for the Great Library begins. Pyrion and I begin to clash over territory and Sjin demonstrates some strange accents.

City State relations are discussed and resources become increasingly important as plans for expansion are made. Sjin discovers Turps' island in his quest to expand.

I become desperate for iron which sparks discussions over viable substitutes and, somehow, superheroes. Turps begins to struggle with the increasing threat of barbarians.

Turps continues in his brutal war to defeat the barbarians terrorising his land while the rest of the world trade off their luxuries.

Pyrion begins his attacks on the city states whilst Turps is finding gold to be an issue and begins asking Lewis and myself for advice.

While everyone continues to renew trades, Sjin begins plotting with me and the enlistment of spies has lead to a series of thefts. Pyrions attack on city states leads to a new city and a clash with me over the future of Zurich.

Tensions are rising between the English and German borders to decide the fate of just one city state. This could lead to a very decisive battle for either civilisation unlike any the world has ever seen. Meanwhile, Lewis tries to come up with as many names for bananas as he can.

Tensions between me and Pyrion are still high but they soon find a better cause for their armies whilst Lewis has befriended majority of the city states leaving little debate for world congress. Lewis sets out to explore the rest of the world whilst Sjin becomes caught up in mine and Pyrions plans.

Lewis makes a discovery that makes him very uneasy whilst roaming the seas and discovers how strong his alliance with Rythian is. Mine and Pyrions' plans take effect while Sjin worries about spies stealing from Mahogany Meadows.

The attack on Lewis reaches its peak as Pyrion and I must decide if another city is worth the cost, while Rythian lives up to his name of captain passive. The World's Fair is completed amidst the war whilst Rythian realises that Lewis still controls the world congress votes.

Discussion turns to Turps' position in the scoreboard, leading him to discuss his tactics and game plan for the Shoshone. The war is called off and I return to my cities, Rythian begins to rise in the points table and discussions over ideologies begins.

Sjin makes a mistake while building a new city. Rythian takes the control of world congress off Lewis with collective votes whilst he teaches Turps about ideologies and discusses the best moves for his great merchant. Cities come under discussion and world congress presents a difficult decision.

Lewis becomes suspicious of Rythian and denounces their alliance, Rythian feels threatened by Lewis and agrees to fund him finacially temporarily. Pyrion begins discussing his plans to start another war with me whilst I antagonise Lewis by conquering his city states. Sjin suprises everyone when he reaches the top of one of the demographics.

Lewis attempts to recover My Banana Balls, formally known as Sweet Banana. Pyrion declares war on Sjin who suffers greatly from the ordeal. The world ideology of Autocracy passes annoying everyone but Lewis, Sjin and Turps.

The alliance falls apart as Pyrion is distracted with conquering Sjin's cities whilst I need his support against the forces of Lewis which have reached their island. The world ideology is taking its toll on everyone but Lewis and Turps and barbarians are resurfacing as tanks and marines.

Lewis reaches the top of the scoreboard and declares war on Pyrion after damaging my forces. Rythian blames Turp's voting and strange choices for the world being in chaos. Sjin sets up his new city with help from Turps and the two of them declare their love for Siam.

Lewis continues his war with Pyrion and me whilst suffering with lag, Sjin continues to back Lewis redeclaring war on Pyrion. Rythian becomes a contender for victory but Lewis takes drastic action to put a stop to the threat Midgar poses.

Lewis struggles to cope with lag as he fights for Rythians' capital. Rythian falls even further when world congress convenes. The guys race to complete the Manhattan Project and Apollo Program.

Sjin succumbs to Lewis's ideology as the barbarian marines return. Rythian continues to focus on saving his Civ by clearing the fallout but Lewis becomes wary of his culture again. Pyrion discusses the uses of flax in the real world and Duncan struggles to fund his long war with Lewis.

Duncan struggles with his war with Lewis, who lets slip his plans to head for space but ends up taking drastic action to protect his capital.

The war against Lewis continues with an additional latecomer. Amidst the war Lewis continues to focus on his space ship.

In the exciting climax to the series we see who ascends the throne as the King of Kings. Who could it be? Lewis? Duncan? Sjin? Spoiler: It's not Sjin.
