Although she doesn't really feel like going out, Nellie Mahler, who comes from a wealthy background, is persuaded by her best friend, influencer Janosch Seiler, to attend an illegal rave party in the tunnel system under Munich Central Station, which is inhabited by homeless people. The two are accompanied by Nellie's brother Max, who is once again getting high with his friends. The party, which eventually takes a terrible turn, is also attended by the dogged policewoman Magdalena Kaltbrunner and the ambitious Lisa Limberger, who wants to realize a special building project directly above.

Following the fire disaster at the illegal party, Nellie sets off with Janosch in search of her missing brother and meets the taciturn Tyler, who lives in the catacombs. Even though she has no authority to investigate the tragedy, Magdalena starts her own investigations at the same time. Meanwhile, Lisa fears for her idealistic building project after the accident and tries to persuade her father not to give in. Nellie and Max's mother Anna, who is under pressure as a municipal building councillor, exploits the terrible events for her own purposes.

When Nellie visits her boyfriend Janosch in his adoptive father's apartment for the first time, the two have a big argument. While the teenager continues to search for her brother and comes across an interesting clue, Janosch suddenly finds it difficult to shoot his usual good-humor videos. Meanwhile, Lisa puts all her energy into an event to win over new supporters. Magdalena's unauthorized investigations lead the policewoman to a potential informant in jail.

Building councilor Anna Mahler secretly meets with a person who knows more about Max's whereabouts. Meanwhile, Janosch bumps into different people in his life and makes an astonishing discovery underground. Tyler gets into trouble with other homeless people because she introduces Nellie to the secret tunnel world. Magdalena pays a visit to her mother, who suffers from dementia, in a nursing home and lets public prosecutor Dominik Liebknecht in on her family background. Meanwhile, Lisa finds an ally.

After his surprising discovery, Janosch, struggling with his identity, confronts his adoptive parents. Nellie and Tyler grow closer and follow a lead to a well-located apartment. While Anna pushes ahead with her criticism of the Limberger building project, Lisa has to digest a devastating decision made by her father. At the same time, Max, who is no longer being held in the catacombs, is in Magdalena's custody, who is trying to extract useful information from him. Prosecutor Liebknecht eventually delivers a shocking message to the policewoman.

Nellie and Tyler are hot on Magdalena's heels and burst into a highly tense situation only a short time later. Max struggles with a terrible certainty. And Janosch talks to his adoptive father.
