GTA 3 on Sega Dreamcast? The classic console had been discontinued by the time the game first launched on PlayStation 2, but today it is a reality - thanks to a hardcore development team worked from a reverse-engineered, rebuilt version of the Rockstar engine. It's early days with this port, but already it's looking very impressive - as John reveals in this new DF Retro video.

What if we told you that OG Xbox played host to an open world racing game that rendered at native 720p? That's just one of the technical feats delivered by the Wreckless/Double STEAL series of games. John Linneman is joined by Andrew Elmore for a look back at both games, including the bizarre PS2 and GameCube ports of the first game, before moving on to the technological masterpiece that is the Japan-only Double Steal: The Second Clash.

Previously 'locked' to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (disregarding a very different PS2 offering), Sonic Unleashed is the subject of a recompilation effort that takes the original Xbox 360 code, recompiled for PC with many extras - all based on original 360 assets. A unique game from a very different era is now playable on PC... and it holds up beautifully on modern PC hardware!

In an extended version of our Retro PC Time Capsule formula, John and Alex stack up the new RTX version of the classic game running on a 12900K/RTX 5090 up against the original 2004 release version of the game, operating on period-appropriate PC hardware.
