Forged In Fire Latin America

Participants from Brazil, Mexico and Argentina face each other in the forge. They will have to forge an astronaut knife with a 1070 steel bar and technological garbage that will be exposed to the toughest tests. Who will get the most points up for grabs?

For the first time, Forged In Fire Latin America takes the forge outdoors. Blacksmiths will use different types of scrap steel to forge a Tuareg dagger. The judges will test the weapons against an old tractor, clay vases and pieces of meat.

To determine the 1st runner-up, the blacksmiths will have to obtain the steel by forging a wire box. Then, they will have 6 hours to forge a Golok machete. The judges will test them against a concrete tower and ammunition box, and test the edge by cutting watermelon and bamboo poles.

The blacksmiths will have to use 5160 and 4140 steel bars, and a ship anchor to create their weapons. But in addition, they must forge their own hammers to work.

Only 1 of the participants will be a finalist in the Latin American Fire Challenge: they will have to use steel cable to forge a Celtic ring knife with organic materials and without rivets. The judges assess its resistance by hitting material similar to that of an animal skull.

The best blacksmiths in Latin America have qualified for the final and must demonstrate their talent using firefighter's bars and steel to forge a Kindjal saber. In addition, they will have to choose a damascus steel pattern and execute it perfectly.

The 4 finalists compete by forging their signature knives using the powdered damascus technique. The jury will evaluate its toughness cutting a block of ice, its sharpness slicing fruit and its lethality skewering a doll.
