I'll warn you, this video is quite disturbing to the electronically minded. This keyboard had a bad life and met a tragic fate.
The voice and sounds in the background are my girlfriend, Daria, working on her arcade project. I don't have any lighting yet so I had to use her office.

This is a Crowin Case, a Korean "candy cab" sit-down arcade game cabinet. We picked it up on local Craigslist for cheap on account of it being pretty bare and broken, and we've been healing and upgrading it.
Neither I or my girlfriend Daria have ever worked on one of these before but we've done our homework for years and we're muddling through okay so far. Further updates to come!

I have to apologize for a couple things. The video exposure fluctuates wildly in the beginning and the audio quality keeps changing. I'm really, really new to video production and I'm shooting on my smartphone. The external mic I got is finicky and unidirectional and I forgot to lock exposure on the first segment. I also messed up my screen recording for the stick testing. I'm working on it though and should be improving as time goes on. Appreciate your patience!

This is an experiment, a podcast-style video in which me and two good friends explore eBay and discuss everything interesting about what we find. I've never done anything like this before, but some people expressed interest so I figured I'd give it a shot.
I set this up ad-hoc and didn't realize a couple things: One, the video gets choppy when the webcam is fullscreen - had no idea until I was done shooting. Two, the dynamic range on this microphone is very poor and the audio gets loud and clips at times - I'm very sorry for that, but there's nothing I can do in post to fix it :(
If you enjoy this, PLEASE let me know and I'll do more! If the length is an issue I can aim for shorter in the future, but I think it's always going to be pretty long if I'm doing multiple items (it's like 10-15 minutes per item.)

This video is deliberately long because it's intended for you to chill out and relax to, probably while you do something else. Let me know if you like this kind of thing and would want to see more, and if it'd be better if they were shorter.

I don't intend to fill my videos with "comment like and subscribe", but I would ask this one time that if you're interested in this at all, please subscribe so I know you're interested.

This is the first half of the first episode of my vintage software series. I decided to start out with some games, because shareware discs are so easy to find and there's so much to explore, and the utility program for this episode will be in a second segment (it took up more screen time than expected.)
I'm also still working out my "voice," since I've never done videos before and I'm still trying to figure out what works best, so I'm a lot louder and maybe a little abrasive in this one. Let me know in the comments if you prefer the before or after.

Apologies for the hissy audio, I was using my mic straight into my camcorder and the levels looked fine but it turns out they were really low. Whoops.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Covox_S... - You can read the thin history here. It's a pretty basic electronics concept so it was bound to happen sooner or later, but I'm still stunned that it did - also stunned at how well it works.

Thanks for your patience! This took so long! Oh my god! I had so much trouble getting this recorded, everything was just DISASTROUS. But it's finally done - and I got a bunch of other stuff recorded too, so the next video will come much sooner!

Okay this one's a little rough - it has thrift store trips and stuff but it's long and the stores are not terribly productive. This is what the weekend had to offer though. Enjoy the eclipse footage, I hope!

Picked up these gadgets on my last thrift store trip, finally had a reason to check them out, but honestly I was most interested in the electronics. Here's a deep dive into the circuitry of two IDE hard drive transfer switches.

I got a new MSX because I have no self control. This is part ONE of this video, where I talk about the device, about MSXes in general, and go through the process of building (and screwing up) a video interface cable for it.
The NEXT video will demonstrate how the device actually works, and will be uploaded, uh, soon.
Here's part two where I actually demo the device! I'm not a great musician, please forgive. I really like the sound and I think it'll be a lot of fun once i get the proper software. Merry Chrim
