Whether in the desert or the savannah, Africa's big cats are the ultimate hunters of the wild. With razor-sharp teeth and claws, they fight to secure their position at the top of the food chain. The different species take different approaches: a pride of lionesses, for example, relies on teamwork to carry out a masterful ambush attack on unsuspecting wildebeest. A young cheetah, on the other hand, uses a perfected ground strategy to corner a nimble squirrel. Finally, a mother leopard's patience pays off in the fight against a wary impala.
