Maggie receives a letter from Sorry with an update of his venture. Alan sets of to Edinburgh to pick up Elizabeth. Miss Steedman tries to find out what David’s plans are with Laird’s Point.

Alan and Ken discuss Miss Steedman’s plans. Alan and Kay go horse riding. Bob takes Alice to one of his favourite spots where he shows her the house that he plans to move into.

Fiona gets an early start as she sets off to pick up Jimmy. Alan requests that Lorna keeps the Estate files under lock and key. Bob informs Alan of poachers in Glendarroch.

Jimmy discusses his feelings about his father with his mum and Uncle David. Miss Steedman is trying to get locals out of their crofts. Isabel has a visit from Brian's parole officer.

Dougal has words with Miss Steedman, Bob gives the good news to Alice about the croft, and Lorna snaps at Ken when he tries to help her with her dilemma.

Ken helps Lorna with her money problems. When the bus breaks down Maggie witnesses a business transaction. Alice talks to grace about her concerns with her new relationship with Bob.

Dougal is caught off guard when Alice and Bob announce their engagement, Alice shares a secret from the past with Grace, and Lorna invites Ken to tea.

Mrs Cunningham visits the Lachlan Croft to see baby Donald and congratulate Alice on her engagement. Isabel tells Maggie off. Alan asks Kay to help him make sense of the letter from his wife.

Grace takes a turn but brushes it off as nothing when Alice confronts her. A debt collector shows up putting the screws on Lorna. David and Jimmy set off to pick up Jimmy's father.

Brian relives his prison days to Isabel. Ken shows his support for Brian in the store. McIntyre proposes the north face of Ben Darroch for the ski run. Maggie wants to organise a sit-in at Laird's Point. Grace takes a bad turn.

Kay and Dr Wallace are summoned to the Lachlan Croft to attend Grace. Dougal has his regrets about his remoteness as the weather worsens.

Grace is in a bad way and needs to be taken to hospital. Isabel catches Brian up on what he has missed in Glendarroch whilst he was absent. Dougal is deeply worried about his mother.

Grace is taken to hospital in Dumbarton. Steedman confesses her mother died in similar circumstances and she wasn't there. Dougal shares with Alice his worries for the future.

Maggie is still upsetting the Blairs with accusations about Brian. Alice realises that she may have to stay at the Lachlan Croft instead of marrying Bob. Elizabeth meets the new renter of the Dower House.

Jimmy and Fiona's office is being delivered tomorrow. Paul Cassell meets Elizabeth in Blair's Store but his dinner invite fails. Kay gives Alice some advice for her future. Sorry Watson arrives to launch the water sports venture.

Dr Wallace gets Dougal to visit Grace. Sorry suggests car stickers to advertise the water sports venture. Fiona borrows a typewriter from the estate for their office. David intends to get heavy with any protesters.

Jimmy and Fiona are settling in at their new office. Maggie tries to stick her oar in the water sports business. Dougal visits his mother in hospital.

Paul questions Elizabeth about why she stays at Glendarroch rather than Edinburgh. Isabel is getting worried about Lorna's mounting debt. Ken convinces Lorna's mother she doesn't need her car. Maggie brings protesters into the shop.

Maggie arrives with a busload of Countryside Action Group Protestors on her bus. Brian asks David about his family. Peter arrives from Edinburgh and says the leasehold contracts are unbreakable. Kay has been offered a job at the Western.

Jimmy is distracted at the party by the attention Fiona is given. Alan has to make a decision before it’s too late. Jimmy shares his worries with Fiona about the new clientele.

Paul continues to try and romance Elizabeth with the offer of a trip to Edinburgh. Dougal gets an update on his mother’s health. Kay hands in her resignation to return to Glasgow.

Dougal and Alice prepare for Grace’s return. Kay’s departure is announced. Maggie gives everyone in Glendarroch something to laugh at. Elizabeth finds her recent discovery disappointing.

Dougal is taken from his comfort zone when he is told to help out around the house. Miss Steedman gives the orders from management which provokes Alan’s ultimatum. Grace returns to Glendarroch.

A visitor from Alice’s past arrives unexpectedly. Alan starts his plans for leaving Glendarroch to be with his wife. The knives are out in the battle between Elizabeth and Miss Steedman for Home Farm.

Maggie is spreading gossip about Alan’s departure down at the Blair’s Store. Elizabeth continues to battle with Miss Steedman. David Blair clears up some of Maggie’s rumours to Elizabeth.

Maggie tells Brian exactly how she feels about him. Elizabeth checks in on Grace and informs Miss Steedman of her appointment in Frankfurt. Brian tells Isabel his reasons for his past behaviour.
