Fiona tries to come to terms with the loss of Elizabeth.

Fiona is selling the estate in the wake of her mother's death. Dougal wants to start breeding dogs to make some money. Rory isn't seeing much of the baby as he's living in Glasgow.

Brian and Isabel win £5,000 from his premium bonds. Fiona wants to open a hotel with the money from selling the estate. Dougal wants one of Mr Murdoch's dogs to mate with Tav for the puppies.

Brian wants to put his money into stocks and shares. Fiona isn't spending much time with the baby, and Sheila's mother is moving in, but she doesn't want her to.

The villagers are worried about what will happen to them when the estate is sold, while the minister's friend arrives for a visit, and Mrs Mack isn't too fond of him.

Inverdarroch is throwing a party, and Mr Sneddon is invited to let bygones be bygones, but Dougal sees him talking to Morag and gets annoyed.

Bob is worried he will lose his license, but he swears he didn't have a drink all night. Mr Sneddon's dog has gone missing, and Mr Murdoch took her so he could sell her again.

Lorna is worried that Fiona might hurt her baby. Mrs Mack thinks that the minister and his friend are interested in the devil. Bob thinks someone spiked his drink at the party.

Brian is still looking for ways to invest his money. Isobel puts herself forward to take care of Fiona's baby. Fiona asks Lorna to come to the hotel and work for her.

Dougal thinks Mr Sneddon spiked Bob's drink with vodka. Isobel is preparing for David coming to stay, but he cries a lot though the night. Sorry warns Brian about where he invests his money.

The minister is annoyed about Mrs Mack jumping to conclusions about what he and his friend are discussing. Sheila is uncomfortable with Steve staying, so he storms out.

Sgt Murray asks Sneddon about spiking Bob's drink, but he denies it. Morag admits that she topped up Bob's glass. Fiona leaves the big house. Sneddon orders a champion dog from Mr Murdoch.

Inverdarroch has words with Wullie about his attitude. Brian discovers that Isabel is an unpaid nanny for Fiona and Ruari finds out that the Blairs are looking after David.

Ruari argues with Fiona over David. Sheila gets and idea for a story from Effie. Sir John Ross-Gifford and Lady Margaret view Glendarroch. Mr Parker is going to confront the Minister over his 'Satanic' views.

Lord Strathmorris has bid for Glendarroch. Archie has found Old Angus's still and tempts Dougal with a bottle. Mr Parker discovers the Minister's interest is horse racing. Fiona takes baby David.

Dougal resells his windfall whisky to Bob. The Ross-Giffords have made an offer for the estate. Carol thinks Willie is the mystery poet. The Minister and Mr Murdoch are worried about the state of the church.

Lesley Kennedy is going to Canada and wants Isabel to look after her daughter Jean for a few weeks. Sir John's financial team move in to review the estate. Fiona panics when Ruari crashes into David's pram.

Brian agrees with Isabel about looking after Jean. The Minister asks Archie to put on a bet for him. Mrs McTaggart identifies the whisky as Old Angus's. Sheila finds out Willie is not the poet.

Archie is sceptical over the Minister's bet. Bob has been taken to task by Sir John's team over the shooting and fishing on the estate.

Fergus tells Brian that Joan is a troublemaker. Sir John and Lady Margaret arrive at the big house. Archie has saved the Minister by changing his bet. Hamish and Bob intend to follow Dougal to the whisky still.

Lily takes an interest in publishing Inverdarroch's poetry. Sir John gives Archie a month's notice. Lady Margaret is sent flowers by a mystery suitor.

Mrs Mack is looking for support against the illegal whisky. A young visitor, Drew, arrives at Blair's store looking for Sneddon. Dougal is sacked from the deer farm.

Sneddon's son Drew is staying at Letterfalloch. Sir John offers Lorna a rise which she accepts. Grace shows Morag Inverdarroch's poems. Archie asks Fiona for a job at Ardnacraig.

Sneddon tells Drew he'll have to work if he wants to stay. Jean arrives at the Blair's in a bad mood. At Lady Margaret's insistence Sir John gives Archie two hours to fix the hot water and keep his job.

Lady Margaret tries to match make with her son Eric and Fiona. Inverdarroch has ordered a book of poems. Sheila gets her name in print in the Auchtarne Herald. Eric and Joanna announce their engagement.

Lily asks Inverdarroch about one of the poems 'The Lady In The Lake' which has saddened her. Sir John offers Eric the manager's job on the estate, and Joanna pressures him to take it.

Constable McPhee is searching for Illicit whisky in the Hall. Jean invites Sneddon's son to her room, and Isabel gets worried. Dougal is in his element getting more orders for the whisky.

Jean tries to get back in Isabel's good books. Sgt Murray asks Archie about getting a bottle of whisky. Mrs Mack sees Sir John about falling morals. Brian gives Eric and Joanna a trip on the loch.

Drew and Jean are meeting at the old Aqua Sports office. Sir John asks Dougal about the whisky. Isabel finds out Inverdarroch is the poet. Carol's dog has savaged a ewe at Inverdarroch.

The day of the poetry book launch at the Hall finishes with Inverdarroch claiming he was not the poet and storming out. Archie has called a meeting of all the whisky customers to move the still.

Inverdarroch's grandfather was the poet. He apologises to Lily. Jean's parents are staying in Canada for another two weeks. Mrs Mack claims that all the empty bottles have gone missing. Dougal shoots at the dog worrying the sheep.

Fiona talks to Mr Carradine about Eric's feudal claim over the hotel, but when Sir John hears, he apologises. Inverdarroch cures Carol's dog putting him in a pen with a ram.

Lady Margaret insinuates to Joanna that Eric made a pass at Fiona. Dougal and Co are going to move the whisky pursued by Mrs Mack and Constable McPhee, then disaster strikes.

The survey on the church bell tower says it should not be rung. Drew dives into the loch to escape from Constable McPhee and disappears. Fiona tells the Minister she has lost her faith.

Lady Margaret upsets Joanna by suggesting Eric limit has guests at the wedding. Sheila interviews Sneddon about Drew's accident. Jean finds a surprise in the Aqua Sports office.

Archie gets a sound system to replace the bells. Ruari books into Fiona's hotel with several colleagues. Effie is employed by Fiona. Carol tells Isabel she still dislikes Jean.

Eric and Joanna ask the Minister about getting married in the Kirk. Brian and Isabel discover missing food from the shop, then Brian finds Drew and Jean at the jetty. Mr Primrose fakes a fall.

Sneddon's housekeeper Mrs Russell gives in her notice. Brian and Archie set up the sound system. Sorry offers the Minister a holiday to Venice prize for the raffle.

Isabel leaves for her niece's wedding and Sheila takes over the shop and cooks Brian a meal. Eric has concerns about being married in the church. Mr Parker expresses concerns about the raffle.

Mrs Mack spreads rumours about Brian and Sheila. A mystery guest for Sir John arrives by ferry. Eric and Joanna decide to get married in London.

Lady Margaret wants Effie to cook which clashes with her work at the hotel, so Fiona asks Alice. Brian tells Isabel that he and Sheila had meals together when she was away.

Sir John's mystery guest, Mr Yahoda, wants to stay in this country, but is becoming anxious about the delay. Sorry takes over the running of the raffle upsetting Mr Parker.

Alice offers to work for Fiona full time although Bob is not in favour of the idea. Sneddon interviews a new housekeeper, Hazel, who turns up with her brother Colin.

Mrs Mack is swatting up on Venice. Alice is flattered by the attention she is getting for her cooking. Sheila wants to report on Brian's first loch cruise. Sorry gets Mr Primrose to admit his scam.

Bob and Alice argue about her job. Isabel confides to Sorry about Brian and Sheila. Lady Margaret and Mr Yahoda go for a drive and talk.

Grace gets an invitation to David's christening. Bob catches Mr Yahoda shooting in the woods and reports him to Sir John. Sorry invites Brian and Isabel to the Marina launch party - but Isabel refuses.

Hazel and Colin have made a list of things worth stealing. Sorry changes Isabel's mind about the party but Brian has invited Sheila. Archie wins the raffle and swaps prizes with Mr Murdoch.

Dougal seems rather taken with Hazel, and tries to find her another job. Lily is coming to stay again, and Inverdarroch is nervous he ruined things between them when she visited last.

Mr Sneddon is quite protective of Hazel, and snaps at Peter when he makes a rude comment about her. Sir John's associate leaves, and it seems his business is very secretive.

Morag is struggling to look after her father who appears to be getting more forgetful and ill.

Morag's father has dementia, the doctor suggests that he move into a care home, but Morag refuses.

The minister has his appendix removed, but is worried that he will miss David's christening. Dougal is thinking of getting a housekeeper for the croft, and is even considering taking Hazel as a wife.

Lily is back, and Inverdarroch was there to meet her, but became embarrassed and left quickly. Hazel continues to take advantage of Dougal.

Mr Murdoch and Mrs Mack visit the minister at hospital and are evasive when he asks about Mr Parker. Eric tells Fiona about his plans for the shooting.

Grace agrees to lend Dougal the money, thinking it is for Morag, not Hazel. Inverdarroch is seeking advice on how to propose. Morag breaks down in front of Dougal.

Sorry tells Isabel the relation between Brian and Sheila is like proud father and daughter. The Minister secretly baptises baby David in the hospital. Lady Margaret leaves for London. Hazel and Colin leave with Dougal's help.

Sneddon and Dougal realise they have both been conned. Sheila's mother has a fall in her house. Mrs Mack takes pleasure in telling Mr Parker about the christening. Brian and Isabel make up.

Sam Scanlon turns up to see Mrs Lamont. Jamie Stewart calls at the Blair's Store well after closing time and Brian discovers Morag's problem. Inverdarroch and Lily dine by candlelight, but the conversation does not go his way.

Lily has accepted a proposal from her agent. Archie is helping both camps prepare for the clay-pigeon contest. Jamie dumps his porridge into Fergus's post bag.

Lily says goodbye to Inverdarroch. Sheila tells Sam she has had a baby. Morag hits Jamie in frustration then goes to Grace for help. Fiona wins the clay-pigeon shoot on the toss of a coin.

Mrs Mack is persuaded to ask Florence to look after the Minister when she goes to Venice. Sir john and Lady Margaret have returned from London. Sheila overhears Effie talk about Sam. Dr Wallace finds out that Jamie has attacked Morag.

Florence arrives to look after the minister while Mrs Mack leaves for Venice. Lady Margaret's friends arrive for a trip, and Sally doesn't think much of Joanna.

Willie gets Mrs McTaggart to read his tea leaves to see if Carol will like him. Morag doesn't want her father to be taken away. Willie and Carol continue their bickering, but it seems like flirting.

Dr Wallace wants Grace to speak to Morag about Jamie, as Morag thinks he is getting better, and it seems he is. Willie is cocky about getting together with Carol, and she isn't impressed.

Mr Scanlan offers to fix the bell tower for free if others will help him. Jamie bursts into the hall, and shouts at Florence which upsets her, he then tries to set the church on fire.

Fergus takes Florence out for a ride in his post bus, and tells her he is very fond of her. Fiona and Joanna have a chat about how she doesn't fit in with Eric's family and friends.

The men begin fixing the bell tower. Dr Wallace and a specialist arrive to see Jamie, and advise Morag that he should be in care as soon as possible. Willie sleeps in and forgets about the disco.

Sir John arrives back to the estate, and it seems Harry and Sally are trying to come between him and his wife. Mrs McTaggart thinks Willie is falling in love with his new dog, and not Carol.

Florence is leaving today, and Mr Murdoch is upset she didn't take any notice of his new look. Dougal and Grace go to visit Morag, but it doesn't go so well as she is still very upset.

Isabel seems to be upset, as it is a year since Jimmy died. Sir John and Lady Margaret's marriage seems to be in trouble, and she wants to move back to London.

Sir John and Lady Margaret go out for a picnic in the rain before she leaves for London, but they get on so well she decides not to go.

Morag seems to be doing better, but becomes aware that she is talking about her father as if he was dead which alarms her. Mrs Mack is excited about her slideshow.

Isabel put a notice in the paper in memory of Jimmy, but someone else did too and they don't know who it was. Mrs Mack's slideshow is tonight, but the projector is broken.

Inverdarroch takes Morag to visit her father, and he asks when he can come back home. Mrs Mack is speaking very highly of an Italian man she met in Venice.

Mrs McTaggart has broken her hip, so her friend Mrs Anderson has come to help Inverdarroch, and she thinks he is seeing Morag. Harry and Sally Shaw are back in Glendarroch, to sell their house.

Morag is getting frustrated with everyone treating her differently. Lady Margaret isn't impressed with Joanna trying to help Fiona, as she has started to work for her.

Effie has been told she cannot work at Fiona's hotel by Margaret. Sheila is looking for the lady that posted the memorial in the paper and finds a woman that has a young baby that may be Jimmy's.

Alice is taking over making the breakfast at the hotel since Effie has left. Lorna is on the committee for organising the fete, but she is worried about Eric buying a new computer for the office.

Archie is trying to find a tarot card reader for the fete. Morag and Inverdarroch continue to bond. Lorna gets sent off on a computer course, so Isabel is going to organise the fete in her place.

Nobody is happy about Sneddon being the new factor. Peter isn't happy Mr Sneddon has a new job already. Brian tells Isabel about the woman in Glasgow, but not about the baby.

Mrs Mack is annoyed she wasn't asked to be part of the committee from the start. Sheila lets it slip to Isabel about the baby in Glasgow and after an argument, decides she wants to see him.

Lady Margaret upsets Isobel by mentioning her son, not realising he had died, and Fergus is trying to recruit people for the tug of war competition at the fete.

Carol gets the hotel job. Sneddon gets into bother with Sir john over the fishing party, and later threatens Bob. Isabel meets Susan and is told Jimmie is not the father of baby James.

Sneddon and Bob are still arguing about him trying to assert his authority. The fete is taking shape, everyone is busy with the preparations. Fiona tells Joanna she thinks she is spending too much time at the hotel. Isabel is upset that she doesn't have a grandchild.

Hopes and happiness, tears and traditions, drams and drama, as the folk of Glendarroch see out the Old Year and bring in the New, amidst family tensions and a police investigation. The Lachlans see in the Bells at the croft, but aren't expecting visitors, while Fiona faces a lonely New Year alone at the Ardnacraig until the locals turn up en masse to surprise her in style. Meanwhile Sir John shows off his traditional Scottish dress, Inverdarroch and Morag have an animal emergency in the barn, and old Jock makes his way back home to celebrate the New Year with his friends and neighbours.
