Check out this incredibly well made ration from Ukraine. It rivals the MRE in terms of rugged packaging, but with refreshingly high quality and delicious food that is more in comparison to a French RCIR or Spanish ICR. They really nailed it with this one - and I take my time with properly going about how such a well made ration should be prepared. It could be eaten quickly, but it can also be savored. That is what we do here with this fantastic ration.

This special Passover variant of the IDF's 4 person 24 hour ration could be utilized many different ways, and in this case a small stove top & skillet are used for improvised cooking, along with a rolling pin.
Featuring Matzah Bread as the special guest of sorts. A staple for Passover and always used by the IDF with these special rations.
This was filmed a little while back and I'm happy to finally get it out there because it was a really fun review. There are quite a few more gems like this one buried away.

Before the HDR (Humanitarian Daily Ration), the US was using this single meal variant for humanitarian relief in scenarios where dining facilities and water were potentially in short supply. This well stored ration not only stood the test of time, but also featured some reasonably palatable components such as salted vegetable crackers that resembled some sort of shelf stable flatbread, dry & velvety sweet raisins, and a zesty lime beverage base.
