Despina Vandi guides us to the area of Monemvasia and the Castropolis with its unique atmosphere and beauty. Wonderful shots of this small town with a medieval fortress, built on a cliff in the sea, enchanting visitors. Today it is a living medieval settlement, perfectly preserved with monuments left by different cultures over the centuries. Together with Despina, we walk the narrow cobbled streets, stand in mansions, monuments and churches, get to know Malawi, the exquisite local sweet wine and visit a traditional watermill to see how the wheat is being milled and how they were made.

In this episode, "My Greece" and Despina Vandi take us to Chania, a city of unique beauty and rich history. Footage from the Venetian Lighthouse and the unique old town of Chania with its iconic buildings. The show visits the home of Eleftherios Venizelos in Aleppo, which has been the home of the Greek politician for more than thirty years.
The show could not miss the lyre and lute, local dances and traditional costumes. Traveling with Vangelis Driskas, we discover the culinary treasures of the area. Despina and Vangelis start with the famous Chania bougatsa with the creamy cheese filling. They then visit avocado plantations that abound in this place and cook with them.
The tour continues with Despina meeting one of Michalis Kakogiannis' comeback movie "Zorbas".

My Greece trip to Chania continues and Despina Vandi guides us to a corner of Crete, a few kilometers outside Chania, in the village of Drakona, where there is a gastronomic paradise! There, Mrs. Popi and her son Stelios grow their own produce in their gardens, own a small farm and make the village a tourist attraction. Stelios is the true expressor of the Cretan Slow Food. He cooks in the wood oven and parasites his grandmother's traditional recipes!
Afterwards, Despina and Vangelis will find out why Mr Antonis' bougatsa is considered to be special and has such a high reputation in all of Chania and they will make the nut with Ns Electra.
They will talk about the history of the Cretan knife and learn about the etching technique that continues through the new generation. "My Greece" will certainly not miss the Cretan songs.
And as always Vangelis Driskas will cook delicious dishes inspired by local cuisine.

My Greece and Despina Vandi guide us to Nafplio, the first capital of Greece, with its beautiful center where buildings of unique beauty dominate. A city with a rich history and wonderful landscapes, from Bourtzi to Palamidi and Akronafplia. And the tour begins ... Despina visits St. Spyridon, where the first governor of the country, Ioannis Kapodistrias, was assassinated, before being found in the spectacular orange groves of Argolic land and the artichoke estates in Iria and Candia. There, along with Vangelis Driska, they cook local produce and know the local gastronomy.

In this episode of My Greece, Despina Vandi guides us to Meteora and Trikala. The imposing towering cliffs of Meteora comprise an impressive stone complex that captivates the visitor, and here is the second largest monastic complex in Greece, one of the most important monuments of the Orthodox Church.
Despina visits the Monastery of Agios Stefanos and the Byzantine Church of the Assumption in Kalambaka, built over 1,000 years ago on the ancient temple of Apollo. Then he goes for truffle hunting, while Vangelis Driskas cooks us two delicious truffle dishes, as well as traditional recipes with local produce.

Despina Vandi guides us to the capital of the Cyclades, the beautiful Syros. The tour starts from Ermoupolis: Marble-paved streets, beautiful neoclassical buildings starring the 19th century Town Hall in the central square and very close to the famous Apollo Theater, where Despina meets the dance group from the Traditional Syros Workshop "Aroma Paradisi".
Despina then visits the imposing Holy Church of St. Nicholas and after the historic settlement of Ano Syros and its famous alleys, as well as the Catholic Church of San George. After all, Orthodox and Catholics have been in harmony with Syros for years. In Ano Syros, Markos Vamvakaris wrote Fragosiriani and we learn a lot about the life of this great Greek composer of rebetiko and folk song.

My Greece takes us to the island of the Knights, the fourth largest island in Greece. From the cobblestone streets of the old medieval town, to the magnificent Acropolis of Lindos and the countless lacy beaches, Rhodes is an island you fall in love with at first glance.
