contemporary costume design often gets the short end of the stick when it comes to critical acclaim, so i'm setting out to change that. one of my favorite films from the 2000s, confessions of a teenage drama queen is unabashedly femme and has some of the most interesting costume design for a teen comedy that i've ever seen. starring lindsay lohan and megan fox, the film is must-watch for any lover of costume design and y2k fashion.

it's been a while since i made a video about disney princesses and decided to take some of your comments into consideration for this one! in today's video we're going to be ranking/comparing different adaptations of snow white, from the 1937 disney classic to more recent films like mirror mirror or red shoes and the seven dwarfs. unlike the cinderella version we won't be looking at a single dress, but the adaptations as a whole. which snow white film is your favorite?

in honor of disney's brand new cruella movie we decided to take a look at 5 different versions of the iconic, fur-obsessed villain and rank them from worst to best. we looked at everything from cruella's style to her motivations and even how evil her character is in that respective film. and BONUS! we even threw in a cruella review. which version of cruella de vil is your favorite?

back at it again with another video about 2010s fashion. today we're taking a look at different aesthetics that were popular on tumblr during the 2010s from kawaii to soft grunge to hipster. we examine everything about these styles from their origins to their distinguishing features (and unsurprisingly, there's a lot of overlap). did you wear any of these tumblr aesthetics?

clueless is one of those films that has been able to stand the test of time and is just as popular as ever. based on the jane austen novel emma, the story follows popular californian high schooler cher horowitz and her incredibly privileged life. in today's video we'll be examining all of the costumes in clueless (designed by the amazing mona may) and seeing how they relate to the story and its characters.

finally back with (probably the last) episode of best *colored* dresses in film history, it's been a while. for newer videos of the channel you may be unfamiliar with this specific format, but think of it as a simple compilation of dresses that are iconic/memorable, dresses i would wear if i could, and outfits that were just brilliant decisions on the costume designer's part. obviously this is just my opinion and the purple dresses appear in no particular order.

in today's video we're going to be taking a look at the media's mistreatment of young women, from marilyn monroe to britney spears to megan fox. this form of harassment under the guise of "journalism" has been happening for decades, with terrible repercussions each time, and yet it continues to be commonplace today with social media. why are we continuing to repeat this cycle of misogyny?

there's a very specific type of movie that we don't see much of anymore but back in the 90s and 2000s they were EVERYWHERE. the genre, which we've coined "kinder camp", featured outlandish set design and satirical humor centered around childish stories that brought about a sense of nostalgia. distinct in visuals and tone, these movies were considered critical failures at the time but are looked upon with fondness today. could we bring back kinder camp?
