Zazie was born on April 18, 1964 in Paris, France. She played the violin during 10 years & also played the guitar. She started composing songs & went to many records companies, then signed to Polygram and met Pascal Obispo. Her first album Je, Tu, Ils was a success and Zazie strated her career.

Michael Penniman was born on 18 August 1983 in Beirut, a town devastated by the war that his parents fled for Paris where as a child he learnt French for the 8 years he spent there. When his family settled in London, the disorientated adolescent found solace in listening to music. He imitated his idols Freddie Mercury (Queen), Elton John and Prince, learnt to play the piano, sung and wrote his first songs.

On the look out for all music styles, whether it was grunge, blues or rock, Jamie Cullum started learning the guitar at the age of 8. Shortly after, he took up singing and the piano. Accompanied by bass player Raph Mizraki and drummer Julian Jackson, the Jamie Cullum Trio was formed. They released their first self-produced album called, Heard It All Before. Alan Bates, the producer, took it without a second thought and released the album Pointless Nostalgic. Universal set their heart on the prodigy offering him a contract estimated at one million pounds, which is a record for a jazz artist.
