We begin this UP adventure in Sault Ste. Marie where the famed Great Lakes freighters inch their way through the Soo Locks. Then we venture out to the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum is keeping maritime history alive. We'll also visit the picturesque Tahquamenon Falls and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

With stops at the Michigan Military Heritage Museum in Grass Lake and a D-Day Celebration in Muskegon. We'll start our journey at Port Austin Kayak and paddle out to get a look at Turnip Rock. Then we'll take to the sky and get a bird's eye view of Michigan with The Sandhill Soaring Club. Next, we'll get curious at the Grand Rapids Public Museum and get creative at Art Reach in Mt. Pleasant. Finally, we'll meet a bartender in Alpena who's been slinging suds since 1940!

We kick off this episode in Grayling, where top athletes from across the globe put their endurance to the test in the AuSable River Canoe Marathon. Renowned artist Gwen Frostic's legacy continues to inspire in Benzonia. Then, we'll marvel at Michigan's beauty through the eyes of photographer Neil Weaver and search for pirate treasure under the Mackinac Bridge.
