Semir had really imagined his wife's birthday differently: Instead of spending a nice day with his loved ones, he not only learns that Andrea apparently has a secret lover and Ben had known about it for a long time, but Semir also has to risk his life to save an architect from a group of mysterious kidnappers. To make matters worse, Semir and his daughters are attacked by the same men shortly afterwards and only saved at the last moment - by Semir's ex-partner: André Fux. Semir can't believe it. Prosecutor cabinet man delivers her 16-year-old daughter Heike-Maria to the highway police for a student internship. Heike-Maria actually finds police work totally stupid and boring, and is not afraid to make it known. The young lady has other plans: she wants to do the same as her mother and become a prosecutor. A little later, Ben and Semir are on the highway with Heike-Maria and are annoyed by the behavior of the intern. When a van changes lanes in front of them without turning on the indicator, Heike-Maria forces the police officers to question the "traffic offender". But when the heroes want to stop the van, the driver suddenly accelerates and runs away. There is a furious chase in which closetman's daughter learns what real policing is. Ben and Jenny attend a concert by the band 'Brushes', which had great success at the end of the 90s. Guitarist Mark Heitmüller was also a celebrated superstar at the time. Since a burst appearance and the separation from singer Tom seven years ago, however, the band and Mark's life have gone steeply downhill and the "brushes" have gradually disappeared. But Ben has remained true to the band and is looking forward to the gig. The musical feast for the ears, however, is quickly over when brutally murdered Lisa Schmidt, ex-wife of singer Tom and former Groupie der Brushes, behind the stage during the poorly attended club appearance. Mark, who has found the seriously injured woman and in whose arms she finally dies, comes into the possession of a key that Lisa gives him shortly before her death. Ben gets involved in a bitter hunt on the highway. Gangsters persecute a man who, after Ben's intervention, can finally escape his captors. However, his car and his unusual cargo remain behind: domestic pig 'Arnold', which Ben now has on his cheek and turns out to be a key figure in a highly dangerous case. Semir and Ben can identify the fugitive as Marco Bernhartz, a zookeeper and former police officer who was previously involved in dubious machinations.
