Tom and Semir are investigating the fatal helicopter crash of property owner Karl Schmidt. The trail leads to Max Seefeld, Semir's childhood friend, who would have a motive of revenge. While the manhunt is underway, Schmidt's partner Fleischmann is murdered. The clues point to Heiner Block, the third business partner, who wants to secure his control over the hotel complex. Tom and Semir investigate the murder of Philipp, Anna Engelhardt's boyfriend, after she has disappeared and everything points to her as the culprit. While Inspector Schulte suspects the boss, the highway inspectors go to work behind his back. They discover that Anna is being held captive in a basement room by Philipp's daughter, Lisa. Sergeant Klaus Eggers dies during a tank transport, and what initially looks like an accident turns out to be murder. Tom and Semir come across the 'Copia Honoris', a secret elite unit of the German army, to which Eggers belonged. It turns out that Eggers was responsible for cocaine smuggling in the unit and therefore had to die. After another member dies, the group falls apart. Timo, Manou and Bernd steal a luxury car to get money for a new engine for Timo's racing car. But they are caught by Craven's chauffeur Maybaum, who shoots them before Semir and Tom can intervene. The owner of the car, the influential Craven, surprisingly decides not to press charges. Tom and Semir realize that there is something fishy about this theft. They discover that the car contains a briefcase with explosive material that involves many influential people in a bribery scandal.
