I'm in the coldest city on the planet; Yakutsk, which is in Yakutia / Siberia / Russia. There are some roads in life that shape people’s lives but this road became an end for many lives. After passing from Islamabad, capital city of Pakistan by a long car trip, I reached to Gilgit-Baltistan region, I hopped on a jeep and passed through mountains, then I trekked from there for 30 minutes, ride on a horseback for almost 2 hours and finally reached Fairy Meadows after 24 hours.

Albinos are often discriminated against because they are different. Their white skin gives them away. Life here for African albinos is bad, they are poor, unloved and hunted when they are spotted. Albinism is common in Tanzania because the gene pool is so small.

According to Tanzanian witch doctors, albinos are cursed beings. And if the limbs of albinos are amputated, boiled with herbs and then consumed, this treatment can cure diseases that even modern medicines cannot cure. This is one of the biggest problems in Africa.
