A classic or a modern reinterpretation. Which is better? Lew Wallace's book about Ben-Hur, Messala, Judea, Rome, and of course Christ, became one of the most significant Christian works of the 19th century. The next time the main character's name was especially loud was with the release of the Oscar-winning cinematic classic of '59 in the 20th century. But the years passed. People's attitude toward history and religion changed. Nevertheless, Ben-Hur was not forgotten. And so the 21st century came. It seemed that it was time to cause a furor again.
