LLassana Bathily was born in 1990, in the west of Mali, in the small village of Samba Dramané. He is the eldest of a large family. He arrived in Paris at the age of 16 and found himself, like so many Malians, in a miserable home in the 17th arrondissement. He obtained a CAP in tiling and found a job as a storekeeper at the Hyper Cacher de la Porte de Vincennes. He awaits the renewal of his residence permit, which he obtained in 2011 with the support of RESF. But this 9 January 2015 will transform his destiny.

The child who is subjected to violence within the family remains silent. He hides his wounds and does not ask for help. But growing up with fear in their stomachs makes them a different child and a different adult. By placing the camera in the office of a juvenile judge and giving the floor to children who have become adults, the film proposes to decipher the workings of this hidden domestic violence.
